Based in Frankfurt, Schoeller is a much sought after portrait photographer. He found fame with his "Close Ups” - shots that weren’t retouched or posed. Martin Schoeller looks behind the celebrity façade and shows faces the way they really are. Schoeller’s photographs definitely grab attention and can sometimes thrill or horrify.
