Previously on Married at First Sight ` 12 strangers have taken a risk... I've never really had anxiety or, like, nerves to this extent before. I am 100% hoping that he's my Prince Charming. ...to find love... Definitely nervous. I didn't think I'd be getting married today. ...in the most unlikely of places. In five days' time, Granny, I'm getting married to a stranger. Now each has met their match. I think I've got a crush on him. This could not have gone any better. And last nights I do's have sealed the deal. I do hope that I fall in love with this man. He seems like a guy that I need. Tonight ` honeymoons bring a whole new perspective. At the moment, I'm just playing it day by day. Far out. Where are we going? I think Claire is what I need in a girl. For some, romance will flourish. Aw, give us a kiss. But for others, marital ties... I'll be on the couch. ...will be tested. Yeah. You should all cutesy and eat some food out of my hand. That is not gonna happen. Pretty bummed out at the moment. I just wanna go home. Captions by Faith Hamblyn and Chelsea Thoresen. Captions were made with the support of NZ On Air. Copyright Able 2017. Breakfast on The Edge Bringing you Married At First Sight NZ. It's the morning after our final two weddings, and our newly-weds are heading off on their honeymoons. Yeah, so, were going to Adelaide today. Luke and Lacey are honeymooning close to home in Rotorua. Well I'm gonna this, cos I knew I was gonna do this when I got married, cos I take my wife, through... Hold on. That won't work. This way. I'm gonna put you down cos I am actually not very strong. It's all right. Over the threshold. Thanks, man. My husband and I, we're at a really good place. I definitely have feelings for Luke, but what they are and how far they are and how deep they are, we're still working through it. Luke... Aw, crikey. It's all go now, eh. (LAUGHTER) ...married Lacey... But it would be really good if you do like Mexican food. ...in a casual yet comedic ceremony. Yes. Yeah. Sure. I do. That's what the thingy said, right? Yeah, yeah, but you nailed it. It's all right. I mean, we nailed it. Yeah. And what could have been an uncomfortable match... OK. We barely know each other. ...ended up a promising and playful union. Here you go. Oh, thank you. Wow. You're welcome. Wowzas! Look at this room. This ain't too shabby at all, is it? You know, I think I can sleep here for a couple of nights. The place looks amazing. I'm absolutely ecstatic. You probably can't see it in my face, but I am. Like on the inside, I'm very excited about this. You can sit there. You're the sleepy one. Right? Oh, overlooking the lake too. Are you just gonna stand there? You wanna drink? Straight up, is this how it's gonna roll now? Well, you can have a nap and a drink, right? Yeah. I'm just wondering if my life's always gonna be this good or if this is just a fleeting moment. The more I get to know her, the more I am liking her. You know, that's good. If I was to draw a graph, it would be, you know, if you've got your Y and your X, it would be, like, on the upward way. You know. I'm not good with maths, but yeah, that way. Beers in front of the fire. Choice. Hey, cheers to honeymoon. Cheers to honeymooning. In my past experience of knowing absolutely nothing about marriage and honeymoons, I would say this is probably the most important times. Experiencing some different things together is really gonna test where were at and, you know, what's happening between us. Then I can see the sea. It's a lake. It is a lake, right? Some couples won't embrace their connection as quickly as others, but it's really important to dig deep and get that sense of intimacy, so that they don't end up being confined to the friend zone. Why have their experts put us together? Both because you are super on to it in your super on to it way and I'm` The complete opposite? The complete opposite of you? Yeah. Yeah, you are. I'm definitely the complete opposite of you, but mainly because we're very attractive and we look well together. Luke and I have very complimentary personalities. We both like to joke around, have heaps of fun, so it'll be interesting to see more of the values and more of the personality traits as we spend more time together. Cheers to looking good. Cheers to being hot. Just up the road, in the Bay Of Plenty, Claire and Dom are just arriving at their little slice of paradise. Wow! What a beautiful place! This is awesome. Romance is the first phase of a relationship. Aw. Look at the view. You can see the Mount! Yeah. That's beautiful. It's the phase where all of their chemicals are just absolutely flowing through the body, the dopamine in particular. Aw, give us a kiss. It's that feel-good chemical that sends that internal message to the body that hey, this is somebody that makes me feel safe ` this is somebody that I want to make them feel safe. Honey, we're home! Ooh! At first sight, Dom may have not been Claire's first choice. I can't see. But romance prevailed. I'm so pleased to have met you, Claire. And the night ended on a positive note. Slainte. OK. Oh, thank you. After you. Thank you. Oh my God. Couldn't have got anything better. Like, it's perfect for a honeymoon. Yeah. What a beautiful place! Smell that lovely wood fire. Aw, it is ` it's gorgeous. Wow. In you come. This is the hokioi suite. Well done, cos I wouldn't have done it that good. What a lovely place! Oh my God. More wine. A very romantic place, Eagle Ridge will be for us. Claire I find very sexually attractive. I also find her personality very attractive. See, I'm already thinking about you. I really do feel a genuine connection with her. I can see us going a very long way. I really wanna jump on that and dive over. I'm too compliant. (LAUGHS) Very elegant (!) I'm feeling really confident with Dom, and I think there is a chemistry. It's gonna be very interesting in the next couple of days on our honeymoon. I think it will get a little bit heated. I could feel that coming on. Aw. I'm going to retain my dignity and not jump on the bed. We can do that later. Absolutely. Yeah, I think that's gonna come later. Yeah. Perfect. Think we're gonna christen every spa bath and every bed in that house. Can't wait. After a whirlwind wedding and only a few hours' sleep, Bel and Haydn have touched down in Adelaide. The experts have done a great job matching us so far. She had a great day yesterday. Both of our families had a great time. Didn't really sleep cos we got picked up at 4 o'clock for the flight, so we're pretty tired. You know, I've been up since 6 o'clock yesterday. So far it has been marital bliss for the newly-weds. To the bride and groom! ALL: Bride and groom! After an idyllic wedding ` last night. Just be nice to get to know her in a different setting that's a little bit more chilled out, little bit more one on one without the stress of being pulled away by family and friends. So looking forward to that. The wedding was really really great, but now I think it's sort of hit me. I haven't slept in almost two days, and just now all of a sudden, I'm in another country with my husband, and I barely know him, and I just am so tired, and it's just a lot. I'm just really overwhelmed with everything, yeah. The couples need to be careful after the high of the wedding, that they don't feed into the negativity that may well arise. It's at this stage that the couples will be struggling to communicate. Ooh. Here we are. Whoa. Nice. Fancy. Very. Ooh. Oh, this is so nice. Look what they've done. Oh, look at that ` we've got the champagne. Nice. This is gorgeous. Look, rose petals. And the love heart. It's a little bit weird, because we don't really know each other. And all of a sudden there's this love heart with roses. And I've tried to stay so far away from anything with love and love hearts. So it's kind of like that first bam! This is it ` you're married. And I'm thinking, 'Ooh.' It's beautiful, but it's really intense for just knowing someone for 24 hours. Yup. It's not bad. I think I'll be on the couch. Will ya? Yeah. Why, cos you don't wanna sleep next to me? No, it's this. She's stressed now, but she's just tired, so... Yeah. But it's cool. Shoes off. Oh yeah. Oh. That feels so nice already. Ugh. Let's have a sleep before we go out. You wanna sleep? Yup. All right. Sleep, and then cocktail. Yeah. I just wanna have a sleep and just sorta rest and recover and just wake up refreshed again and, hopefully, with a clear mind, cos right now it just seems so foggy. Yup. (BELL TOLLS) (LIGHT MUSIC) In the Bay of Plenty, Claire and Dom are taking the plunge... DOM: I name this ship Claire and Dom! ...into uncharted waters. There you go, got us down. Oh, (BLEEP). I mean, far out. Where are we going? I think Claire is what I need in a girl. She's so much fun. She's a really good laugh. We just spend so much time having fun, and I think that is the crux of a good relationship ` to have good fun together. (BOTH HUM UPBEAT TUNE) I think we shouldn't give up our day jobs. Actually, you don't have a day job! (GROANS) I'm sorry! I didn't` No, you are not sorry! I didn't mean to do that. That is` I didn't mean to do that. I'm really sorry Claire. (CHUCKLES) You've got some making up to do when we get home. The intimacy between Claire and I is something that we've decided to keep to ourselves for now. (CHUCKLES) OK, yes! We've made love, OK? Yep, Dom and I have. Yes. Yeah, he's pretty good, and he knows what he's doing. So I'm pretty... Yeah, I'm pretty impressed with that side of it. Yeah. Aim... Oh gosh. Where are we parking, boss? No, we're gonna aim for, Shaun. For Shaun! For Shaun! Not his boat! (CHUCKLES) Claire! What are you doing?! We do have a really good time, but he is annoying me. Here's to McLaren Falls, to kayaking and to Married At First Sight. Us. Cheers. Long may it last. Well, at least` Can you just shut up and let me drink, for God's sake? (LAUGHS) He's got all the right intentions, and he's exactly what I would be looking for on paper. But he talks more than me, which I'm OK with, but it is starting to drive me a little bit crazy. You need to stop talking and listen to me sometimes, and don't lean on that! Oh, that was my mum voice. That was a bit scary. I haven't had that voice out for a while. I feel like our relationship's taken a bit of a change into parent and child type thing. Guess who's the child. (CHUCKLES) Well, it's about danger, because if you leant on` Come on, Claire. (CHUCKLES) I do not see that it's funny, (STERNLY) Dominic. I am a little bit worried about feeling like this on day four. It's the first time that I've felt like this with Dom. Be quiet and let me talk. OK. And listen. Listen. That's a good thing, to listen. Escucha. Yes. Listen. In Spanish. I wanna escucha. OK. OK. Just listen sometimes. Mm-hm, OK. Just listen. I'm all ears ` two of 'em. Glad. Are they working? Yep. Good. Now what have you got to say? I'd just like to get my point across cos you keep interrupting me, and then you go off on a tangent. And then I haven't even told you what I was saying. I can't get my point across cos you don't shut up. (CHUCKLES) I suppose there's a little bit of a sexual... chemistry going on, cos we've made love and everything. And sometimes I look at him and I think, 'You're such a honey.' Like, I could really see myself with you. And then other times I'm thinking, 'Oh, just wanna pull my hair out.' I just don't know if I could see myself with him. But he's good in the sack. That's a bonus. (TRANQUIL MUSIC) Back at the lake, Luke and Lacey are slowly getting to know each other. We kind of jumped into this journey, got married. How do you think we look for the long run? Well,... I take things day by day. Mm-hm. And I took today by today's day, took yesterday by yesterday. You get it. Mm-hm. And so far, every day's been pretty good, and I've really been enjoying it. I'm gonna take that as a compliment. Wait, is that not a good thing to say? No, it's a good thing. That's why I'm gonna take it as a comp` Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's a good thing to say. Oh, OK. Cool. Humour is a really useful defence mechanism when we're feeling nervous or unsure. However, what it also does, is it disables the opportunity to have conversations that are essential. You should be all cutesy and eat some food out of my hand. That is not gonna happen. OK. Too soon, eh. I would definitely say that Luke and I are friends. I would say that we get along really well, and we have great banter, and we do exciting things together, which is awesome. But is there a bond there that I think he's someone that I could rely on or someone who I could 100% trust and support? I don't. I'm sort of your type physically? It's more about personality, right? And humour and getting along and feeling comfortable. You know, I'd say it's looking pretty good. Sexy, eh? Sexy? Sexy as ever. I definitely feel that, you know, the relationship is a funny one. And it is one where we don't take each other too seriously. Mm. That is tasty wine, isn't it? Mm, it is tasty wine. (CHUCKLES) You can't do that. That is so creepy. What? Going mmm? (LAUGHS) I do feel like there are moments in life where you do need to be a little bit serious. It can be disheartening when you try and have a serious conversation and everything is rounded off with a joke. (TENSE MUSIC) After this morning's shaky arrival in Adelaide, Bel and Haydn have caught up on some sleep and are venturing out to try to regain the spark from their wedding night. (GASPS) This looks amazing. I know. We're sleep deprived; we've gone through so many emotions in one go, and we just hit a wall. I would've closed off to anybody, and so did he, so we kind of butted heads a bit. I don't think I would call it a first fight or tiff or argument. I don't know what. We were just looking at each other thinking, 'If this is not a challenge, I don't know what is.' It's nice to just come down and relax. It's really good. It's been a hectic day. Sorry if I was a bit stressed out earlier. Nah, its fine. Just a lot going on. But thanks for being there. No, that's fine. Calming me down, yeah. I mean, it's` I think we both just were a bit` It's an unusual situation, and it's pretty heightened emotional. Yeah. It's just an emotionally draining day. Yeah, I think it's definitely a good thing to see Bel when she's tired and feeling a bit run down. Things are so accelerated. I mean, you usually wouldn't see your partner like this until, I dunno, heaps of dates down the track. I knew we were gonna have a challenge. We've been awake for so long. We've had so much going on. You haven't had much caffeine. You know, you didn't have your daily caffeine quota. Hey, and you too. Oh, yeah, yeah. It was a bit of both of us. Oh, of course. All of a sudden we got so tired and just hit a wall and thought, 'What are we doing? This is crazy. This is so crazy,' and we kind of got a bit distant and kind of kept going where does each other stand? And we just didn't know, and we were just tiptoeing around each other a little bit. Well, I think I've discovered that we're both quite emotional people. Yeah we are. We're very emotional. You know, like, you know what we're thinking. It's on our face. If we're pissed off it's gonna show on our face, whether we're smiling or not, you know? Yeah, I know. 'What's wrong?' In a experiment like this, communication is pretty key, and just telling each other, you know, if I'm pissing her off or if she's pushing my buttons, and that's how we're gonna get to know each other and know what each other's triggers are. So I don't think it's a bad thing. Thanks for listening and talking and being so... That's all right. ...open to talking about it with me. Same with you. It's good. That's how we have to be. Oh, so good. Let's just reflect on it, learn from it, and move forward to our next challenge. Well, we're a team. Yup, we're a team. Well, we're married, so... Yup. You'd hope so. I'm not running yet, you know. Yet. Yeah, yet. (BOTH CHUCKLE) In the adventure playground of Rotorua, Luke and Lacey are heading out in search of excitement. (BOAT ENGINE ROARS) How are you feeling about this? Uh,... a little bit nervous. Yeah, terrified like me. Sweet. Oh. (CHUCKLES) At the moment we're kind of winding down our honeymoon, so instead of really winding it down, we're kind of ramping it right up by doing a swing from 40m and then directly into a bungee jump from around the same height. And, as we're both scared of heights, it's terrifying. For the swoop we're gonna pull you 40m into the air. One of the lucky couple ` you guys decide between yourselves ` who's gonna pull the ripcord, and you're gonna drop down into a 130km swing. What? 130 kilo` kilo` Yep. That fast? I think the future for me and Lacey at the moment is still... Oh,yeah, I have no idea. I think the honeymoon's heading in the right direction. We're having a whole lot of fun, which is pretty cool. Whoa! There we go. There it is. I haven't broken out of my shell yet. We haven't, kind of, progressed any further. Lean forward. Fall over. Ready, three, two, one. (BOTH YELP) (LAUGHS) It's hard, you know? Just jumping straight into something and being all go straight away. Whoa, that was... That's scary already. It's just been really difficult for me, just really opening up, and... Just cos I've had some bad experiences in the past. (SQUEALS) Oh my God. (CHUCKLES NERVOUSLY) Oh God. I think the hard thing is that I actually really, really like Lacey, and so it's more the fear of rejection that I have, because I do really like her. (SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC) Hurry up! I know that I can definitely break down these barriers. I've had this before in relationships. Gotta grow some balls and actually man up and, you know, go in. I've gotta do this. I've gotta open up, and I've gotta... I know that I can do it. Three, two, one! (BELL TOLLS) In Rotorua, Luke and Lacey are taking a leap into the unknown. Oh my God! Oh God! (SHRIEKS) This is insane! As we get to know our partner, the walls start to break down, and this is an opportunity to create intimacy. And activities are really important for this. While we start to have fun with our partner, it allows us to kind of loosen up, and this allows for a longer-lasting love. Watch your feet as you're coming backwards. How was that, team? The swoop is significantly more terrifying than I thought it would be. I can't stop crying. (SIGHS) I'm not overly affectionate, but I saw she was kinda freaking out. You all right? Yeah, I'm fine, right? So, you know, I wanted her to know that I was there for her. I'm gonna get you guys to start shuffling now towards the edge. (BLEEP). Until I tell you guys to stop. I saw that she needed a bit of support, so I tried to give her some encouraging words, even though I was terrified. I didn't really know what to say. I was just, like, 'Ah, yeah, it'll be sweet.' I don't wanna look down at high how we are. OK, so you don't have to look down if you just want me to jump off. No, I'm just gonna look right at you, all right. Yeah. She was definitely freaking out about it. I guess I better, you know, take charge. That's the crazy thing about it is I went in to this marriage having no idea who the person was. Three, two, one, bungee! Whoo! But then when you're thrown into it and you get to know the person, and then yeah, you do ` you have feelings for them and you wanna be there for them and look after them. Luke really surprised me, because I didn't have to be in charge; he did, which was great. I'm quite excited about the unknown and what may happen in the future. And if potentially down the track, we do fall in love, then that's amazing, but at the moment, I'm just playing it day by day and yeah, just looking forward to whatever the future holds. In Adelaide, Bel and Haydn have patched things up and are heading out for a romantic tour of the city. Ooh! (LAUGHS) Oh, run away. (LAUGHS) Do we hop in this one? All right. All right. This morning, Haydn and I maybe clashed a little bit, but we've been able to sort of have a conversation and talk about it. I think it was probably one of our most challenging disagreements so far. Oh, one large seatbelt. You good? I'm good. I'm more concerned about` ...whether I'm gonna fit. Whether we're gonna flip this way. Obviously, coming in to this, I knew it was gonna be a roller coaster, but I didn't expect it was gonna go so well to start with. Like, we're way up here, and then obviously, when things come down, it feels like you're dropping from a higher height, I guess, but we've sorted it out and moved on. And I think it's all part of it. You know, I mean, these are all things we'd find out about each other in the course of a normal relationship or dating over, kind of, a year, but we're finding it out over four days, so... Yeah. Eyelash. Make a wish. One of mine or one of yours? (RELAXED MUSIC) How's my hair in the wind, babe? Oh, it's so nice, elegant. Yeah. Pantene fresh? (LAUGHS) We're going pretty well at the moment, just taking things slowly and step by step, so it's nice to be able to get out of our room this evening and just go get some fresh air and see... change of scenery. It was nice. (RELAXED MUSIC) Look at these, for dates. Yeah. Anniversary. Oh, this is the love-lock bridge. Yeah. So romantic. There was bit of a sunset; there were some ducks; there was, like, padlocks on the bridge. Mmm. It's so pretty. Mmm. Bit like you. I'm really optimistic about where we could go at this point. Right now I can definitely see a future. I'm being very hopeful and optimistic. The ducklings are pretty cute. You're pretty cute. (CHUCKLES) (GENTLE MUSIC) Back home in the Bay Of Plenty, Claire and Dom's honeymoon was going smoothly until they hit a speed bump. Aren't those mountains beautiful? Oh, stunning. I'm glad I'm not driving, so I get to have a look at it properly. Last night, Dom and I had our first fight. The fight was about our driving. We're one extreme to the other. He drives really slow and apparently, I drive really fast. Do you know what surprises me? What's that? Being such a safe driver, you only drive with one hand. I thought you had to drive 10 to 2. I should, really. I'm really surprised at that, actually, cos that's dangerous. On the way home last night Claire went round a corner where there's an advisory of 75, and I felt sort've like G forces, quite extreme, my cheek was going like that ` you know, I was, like, 'Claire, Claire, slow down, slow down!' Interesting, cos you realise, you were doing 10 over the actual limit that they said to go round that corner. And I know it's daytime ` it said 55, and you were doing 65. Did it say 55? Yeah, it did. I didn't even see. It is difficult being around Dom 24-7. I'm trying really hard to have a sexual connection with him, and it's like I only feel that when we actually get on a level where we're on the same page. I think we're both trying really hard to make something happen, but I'm not feeling it. I'll tell you why I'm quite intense about the driving, is that my ex-husband made me feel that big and made me feel that I could not drive, so when you're telling me that I'm driving too fast or doing whatever, that's what he used to do to me all the time. I think the experts have got it right on paper, but it's getting quite difficult, because he reminds me of my ex husband, and I still like my ex husband, but I'm not with him for a reason. The driving fast doesn't necessarily make you a bad driver ` not at all. And I didn't mean that last night. I don't think you're a bad driver. You certainly park better than me, so I didn't... It wasn't meant as an insult ` it was just how it made me feel; I just felt scared in the moment. Claire and I have lots of similarities, but we've also got quite a few differences, so we're an interesting paradox, which I think means we're gonna have a very interesting time. I can't believe you were scared of me last night. Really? Were you scared that`? Like, why were you scared? Like, what did you think would've happened? I just don't like it when people get angry. Well, actually, that wasn't angry ` I was just trying to be stern to get my point across. I wasn't actually angry. Last night I did actually have to be quite stern with him, because he would not shut up, and I could not get my point across. I'm sticking to speeds, and I'm not speeding ` I'm sticking to speeds. OK, that's cool, but that was a hundred back there. Yeah, and I was doing a hundred. You're doing 75. Because, listen, I'll do 50 when it's 50; I'll do 30 when it's 30. I'll do a hundred when it's a hundred, all right? We are so miles apart ` I'm grey, he's black and white. I've just come out of 26 years of that, and they've put me with this guy. (BELL TOLLS) Definitely nervous. I didn't think I'd be getting married today. In Rotorua Luke and Lacey are still adjusting to their honeymoon and each other. Yeah, it's been pretty hard to, kind of, live a real normal life here in Rotorua, but it's been a lot of fun. It's been a bit different, hasn't it? I'm not complaining, but it's hard. It is difficult, isn't it? (CHUCKLES) But it's fun. Yeah. Are you having fun? You look tired? I need, um,... just a little bit of routine, I reckon. I'm looking forward to getting back to the city and to our home for the next couple of weeks. But, hey, let's just soak up the spa pool while we can. Despite their differences, Claire and Dom are finding ways to relax in each other's company. DOM: Isn't this lovely? I know, it's beautiful. This is what it's about, isn't it? (SIGHS) So we can just sit quietly and relax. And... relax. Which is nice. (CHUCKLES) I knew you'd be the first one to start talking. There is a little bit of chemistry going on. For me, it's not so much his looks; it's actually a connection that I get when we actually have really deep and meaningful conversations. That, to me, is really important. I go for sort of, like, petite, quiet women. (LAUGHS) Yeah, which is prob` Not so much on the petite side, but that's probably why you're a polar opposite from the women I normally date. Cos I'm a lot bigger? No, no, no, no. Not so much that, no. It's the quiet type. You're very fiery. You've got a fiery little temper. You're a little bit of a minx. I think the fact that Claire speaks her mind and the fact that Claire's got a really strong, vivacious personality is a really good thing. It's not what you want; it's what you need. So, my type is quite different. They're usually quite a bit taller and most probably dark. But in saying that, you know, looks aren't everything. So what you're saying is, your type ` I'm kinda getting the tall, dark and handsome thing, and so you've ended up with a short, white, fat man. (BOTH LAUGH) My normal type of guy is most probably quite a bit taller, and he likes petite, sort of, quiet women. Well, he didn't get that. So it's most probably just as hard for him as it is for me, and if he's gonna give 110%, I am too. Honesty is crucial to this social experiment. A navigation of trust and a willingness to engage with their partner will just create an environment in which both feel safe and can connect. I think, for me, it's not such the physical; it's the emotional and how we connect emotionally more so than the sexual side. But I'm not revolted by you. It's not like I look at you and go, 'Ughhh, what am I doing?' Well, that's good. Yeah, no, not at all. After smoothing things over in Adelaide, Bel and Haydn are hoping to take their relationship to new heights. It's been great getting to know each other a bit better and realising each other's little quirks and what it's actually like living with each other, which has been cool. Don't you hurt yourself. I know that I really, really like Haydn, and he's got so many qualities and values that I really like. We're both very attracted to each other. We get along so well. We're very playful. Is yours going? Yup, I'm good. Do you want a hand? Yes, please. Pretty crazy physical attraction, to be honest. Find it hard to keep our hands off each other sometimes, which is cool. Bit of a drop. Bit of a drop. (CHUCKLES) For those couples where there is that immediate intimacy, what we would like to see is a real investment in the deeper emotional connection, because it's that that is gonna sustain the relationships going forward. Oh! This is... Yeah, that's quite, um... (CHUCKLES NERVOUSLY) Cos I can just imagine you pretending to push me. You know I'm clumsy. I'm not scared or heights... if I'm secured in something. (CHUCKLES) Lean yourself out slowly. Yeah. That's it. Just like...? That's it. You can stick your arms out. Don't. (LAUGHS) It's quite relaxing, actually, when you forget that it's actually, like, so far down. Very nice. It's husband pressure. I don't wanna do it. I don't wanna be forced to do it. I don't know, I think I'm OK. Can we do it together? I think the way that Haydn went about trying to help me through me not wanting to do it was kinda the wrong approach. He kept saying, 'Oh, you told me you were a thrill seeker.' I don't know. It felt sort of like, not really a blackmail but, 'You've told me this, but obviously you're not.' This is great. This is nice. All right, lunchtime? Yup. Go on. One step back. Come on. Come on! (CHUCKLES) All right, that's cool. Such a thrill seeker, babe (!) It didn't really sit with me very well. I just... I didn't like it. Mm. I tried to encourage her to just give it a crack or if she wanted me to do it with her or something. So she doesn't like taking help. OK, fine I'll do it, and then lunchtime. Oh, I'm just so clumsy. I'll fall off. That's impossible. And I didn't wanna say the wrong thing. Yeah, just try not to piss her off. (CHUCKLES) You're all right. You're fine. K. That's fine. That's good, yeah. Yeah. Nah, I'll do two hands. We'll get there. OK, all right. It really bugged me, the way he handled that. There we go. I don't know. (CHUCKLES) Yay. That's it. I can't do that. Good girl. Thank you. I didn't expect it to be smooth sailing. I came into it knowing that it was gonna be pretty full on, and there was gonna be some bumps in the road and things like that, but, at the end of the day, you know, it's probably pretty minor stuff, and we've just gotta keep moving forward. I'll just have another go, just quick. Oh, it's like my feet are gonna go up, because they keep slipping. Yeah, it's actually kinda relaxing. It's, like, just a little nap. All right. I just felt like he made me so stupid for not doing it. But he never really sees it from my point of view. He kinda doesn't want to see it from my point of view, which really hurts. Maybe, for the first time, I started not seeing a future with us. I just wanna go home and be by myself. I just need some alone time. I just need to be away from him right now. Just don't wanna do it. I just wanna be by myself, take a walk, read a book. Yeah, I need some time away from him. (BELL TOLLS) If you're having trouble keeping your house warm, the first place to check... is in your ceiling. If there's no insulation, there's your problem. If it's moved or there are gaps, simply put it back into position. Also it needs to be thick to do its job properly. If it's not, it could be time to upgrade your insulation. Effective insulation and heating can mean fewer days with colds and sickness, which is better for all of us. Remember ` Yeah, all good, love. # Na, na, na, na. PHONE CHIMES Hey, the others wanna hang out. Um... GIRLS LAUGH ALL SING: # It's time to cut and run. This time I'm really done. # GIRL SQUEALS Oh my God! SHOUTS: Yeah! TECHNO MUSIC PLAYS, GIRLS CHATTER HORN BLARES, GIRLS SHRIEK, LAUGH (SIGHS) As the sun sets on Claire and Dom's honeymoon, they're once more in a good place. Here's to us, and here's to a lovely evening. Yes, cheers. It has been the perfect honeymoon, and OK, we had a little row about driving ` no big deal. It's been better than I could ever imagine. This is beautiful. How romantic! I'll take you word for it. It is indeed. It is. Mm-hm. Driving back here, I tried to keep up with the flow of traffic. I took on board what Claire said to me the other day, and I'm trying to be a better boy ` better behaved, better driver. What would you score me out of 10 today on my driving skills and my road craft? OK, I think today... I would say you'd be a... six. I was hoping for seven. Thanks, Claire (!) No because the first time you drove you would have been a two, so that's a big improvement. (SIGHS) With Dom and I, it is a little bit of a roller coaster. I know today I was going, 'No, he's not the one,' but things can change. Oh, thank you. Oh my gosh. That is amazing. It looks like you wanna put it on the wall, doesn't it? I know. I've talked to Dom, and I've told him the little pet peeves that I have, and we've had a really good day. His driving's been actually OK. Things do start changing a little bit, and I suppose I'm enjoying his company and he's making me laugh, so I'm gonna stick the six weeks out, because I need to experience him all the way. And there we go ` straight in your mouth, keep it moving, and blow out through your nose. Like going out with an old dragon! You're the fossil, not me. I'm the young one. Sorry. I think he's an old man, but I still have a good time with him ` he still makes me laugh. I have an amazing time with Dom. So there you go ` straight in your mouth, and then breathe out. Keep it moving. That's it. Claire and I do have differences, but that's all part of the wondrousness of us discovering each other, because it's just amazing to find each other and to get to know each other. Do I feel like I'm gonna be lucky tonight? Yes. In Adelaide, Bel and Haydn have hit a road block after another argument. The couple spent the night in separate rooms with plans to meet for breakfast, But it looks like plans have changed. Things have basically just turned to crap. She's just shut down, won't talk to me, so I don't really know what's going on. I'm trying to message her and talk to her, and she's just keep ignoring me. I'm out of bed, I've put make-up on to go and meet him, to talk to him, but he just wants a reply over Facebook messenger? No. That's` Just grow up. She's apparently saying, 'Why do I need to text him?' And it just seems real childish and petty, you know? Like, we're meant to be married, so you could at least just talk to me. I feel pressured now to text him, and I should not feel pressured to text someone. I am not texting him. He can either turn up or he can't, and that's his decision that he just has to be OK with. He's a grown man ` if he wants to turn up he can and if he doesn't, he doesn't. I don't need to text him. I just don't wanna play the games any more. I don't wanna do the, 'Oh, yeah, let's pretend things are all right.' I'm just gonna get a flight home and just see what happens. Yeah, I dunno. Embarrassing ` it's pretty embarrassing, but I know I've put everything into it, so there's not much more I can do if she doesn't wanna talk to me. (SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC) I'm not sure if Haydn's gonna show up today. He's said that he doesn't wanna show up unless he hears from me over a text message. I think that he's a big boy and he should pop his jeans on and go down there, and if he really wants to be here, he would do it whether he knows I'm coming or not. After a lot of thought, I am prepared to end the marriage now. I think I've given it a good go. I've tried really hard, given it a lot. Good times, we've had probably more lows than we've had highs now. Yeah, I'm ready to go home now. (DRAMATIC MUSIC) And in Rotorua, Luke has woken to a bombshell. Yeah, pretty bummed out at the moment. Lacey just told me it's over,... so a little bit shaken by that. She just told me that she heard something about, like, some rumour that her friend told her from the wedding or something that one of my friends said about me, and, I mean, I don't even know what it is. (SIGHS) Honestly, I don't even know. I don't even... I don't even know what to do. Just like the show, expect the unexpected with Jay-Jay, Dom and Randell for breakfast on the Edge, bringing you Married At First Sight NZ. Sunday night ` as the honeymoons continue,... Oh my God. ...some couples get closer. (BOTH LAUGH) But for others,... It's just gonna piss me off. We're definitely gonna butt heads if it continues how it is. ...the cracks start to show. I was quite surprised that they had matched me with you. I'm worried that it's not gonna develop anything more from that. So what do you wanna do? Captions were made with the support of NZ On Air.
