(GASPS) (SIGHS) (WHIMPERS, SOBS) (PORCHES' 'SECURITY') # The women # sing on the train # Hi, honey. Sorry it took so long. That's OK. The judge thinks you should come and live with us. Would it be OK if you lived with me and Tom and Ryan and Becky? Becky would be so thrilled. Sounds good. Georgie's just getting her medals. How's she holding up? (SIGHS) I think... ...I think she's OK. She's pretty quiet. Can't imagine what she's going through, though. How are you doing? Are you OK? Oh. Hey. Whoa. You've got heaps. (CHUCKLES) Yeah, I guess. You've got way more than Ryan. He's gonna be pretty dark about this. (MIDNIGHT YOUTH'S 'GOLDEN LOVE') # Remembering # what we gave up. # This golden love. # (SIGHS) Wanna help? # Our paths crossed. # Ohh. # But it's the last time # I'll have you. Welcome to the Wilde castle. (CHUCKLES) # ...golden love. # (SIGHS) 1 1 (SIGHS) We are very happy to have you, George. Aren't we, team? This is the most exciting day of my life. Yeah, mine too. Now, our house is a bit smaller. It's not as big as yours, but` If it's OK with you, we're gonna put you in with Becky. Yay! Yeah, that's fine. Thanks. But to make it easier, you guys are gonna swap rooms. Yay again! Wait, what? I can squeeze; I don't mind` No, no, no; it's OK. The kids don't mind at all. Do you, guys? Well, how is that fair? Last time I had to swap with` Really? ...Becky, and... All right? (SIGHS) That's all good, George. No worries. Are you sure? Yeah, for sure. I should think so. Don't worry. Mum will make Ryan get rid of all this tomorrow. I don't mind. Reminds me of my room. I feel bad for him. Nah. Never feel sorry for Ryan ` he's spoilt. Is he? Do you wanna colour? Um, got plenty of... Hey, um,... it's been a big day. (SIGHS) I'm quite tired, so do you mind if we just go to bed? That's OK. Um, I'm tired too. We could draw tomorrow. (SIGHS) Goodnight. Night, Becky. (PEACEFUL MUSIC) (SIGHS) (SNIFFLES) I can't get to the Robinsons' job until tomorrow, and I need to finish Jake's bike cos he's got a race coming up. And don't forget ` we're working on your bike this afternoon. Yeah, that's cool. Tom, you have to stop doing these favours for your mates. Paying jobs come first, remember? I know, I know. It's just` What, your mates come first? OK, I get it. But just keep in mind we have a bigger family now. Yeah, I know. Hi, honey. How did you sleep? Yeah, OK, I guess. Would you like some pancakes? No, thanks; I'm not hungry. Hey, George. Tom and I were talking, and... how about we get you a new horse? (INHALES, SIGHS) There's a riding school just down the road here, and you could` No, thanks. I know we don't have horses, but` N-n-no, I don't want... one. Wouldn't you want to start riding again? No! I don't want another horse. Rocky's dead. Sorry. Georgie. Let her go, Tom. (SIGHS) This is hard for her. (ENGINE REVS) (WHISTLES) I hope this works. You know, I really need to beat Caleb this year. You know, Ryan, beating Caleb isn't really the goal. Yeah, Dad, I know. You've told me already. It's just` I-I really just` I mean, y'know, of course winning is the point of racing, but... it shouldn't be your focus. Yeah, I get it. I should just ride my race. I get it. Yeah, that's right. You just ride your own race. Don't worry about` Dad! I know! What do you think I'm trying to do? I'm just tryna help, Ryan. (SIGHS) Ryan. Ryan! (UNSETTLING MUSIC) Is he OK? Uh, he... He gets a little prickly when we talk about racing. I used to get like that when... Dad would give me advice. I mean, don't take this the wrong way, but it gets kind of annoying. (CHUCKLES) I mean, he's won a lotta races. I guess he probably knows what he's doing by now. (CHUCKLES) So, is this Ryan's new bike? Yeah. This is new this season. Hm. What does this part do? Well, that's an engine. (LAUGHS) This is a wheel. I knew that. Did you (?) (LAUGHS) (TOOL CLATTERS) Hey, um,... I just want to say that I'm really sorry about how I acted before. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Just... stop. You have nothing to apologise for. OK? (SIGHS) It just gets a bit (SHAKILY) hard for me sometimes, so... yeah. Look, I know it is, hon. And we're here for you, whatever you need, OK? Anything. (CHUCKLES) All right? You wanna do me a favour? Yeah. OK. I wanna show you something. Come here. (BRIGHT MUSIC) I want you to pick one of those frames. Any one? Yeah, any one that takes your fancy. Hmm. That far one. Ooh, good choice. Looks like we're gonna be building a bike. We? Yeah. We. Why don't we just buy one? Cos money can't buy you love. (CHUCKLES) (ACTION MUSIC) Looks like rain's coming. (GROANS) ANNOUNCER: It's been raining all night. Parts of the track are underwater. Some riders do well in the mud. Others ` well, maybe they should just stay in bed. These are the conditions that sort the champions from the wannabes. So hold on to your seats, folks. In the mud, anything can happen. You need to ride smarter. This is a real mudder. Yeah, Mum, I've got it. Jeez. OK, well, sometimes you need reminding. Like doing the recycling. (CHUCKLES) Hi, Simon. Hey, Heather. Ryan's riding well. Yes, Caleb too. I like it; this rivalry's heating up. Yeah, yes. Help us all. (CHUCKLES) (DRAMATIC MUSIC) ANNOUNCER: Saunders is chasing Wilde in the competition. Only one point separates these riders. So no one can claim bragging rights... yet. Is today the day Caleb Saunders breaks the drought? (ENGINES REV) (DRAMATIC MUSIC HEIGHTENS) ANNOUNCER: Saunders gets the jump and works Wilde up the side straight... and gives him a mouthful of roost as a reminder. Holeshot to Saunders. But here comes Wilde, looking for an opening. Unrelenting pressure is his MO. And the 102 will have to take his fore brakes. One mistake in these conditions and it could spell disaster. Traction is a precious commodity. It's all about staying upright. Into the big rhythm section. Neck and neck! But oh no! A big off from the number seven. Over the bars. Yellow flags are out. A nasty pile-up on the jump straight. But the lead pack get out front, free from the carnage. So what's the story with it again? Well, each race is two laps and about 20 minutes, and it's the combined points of the two races of the day that give you your points total. Kind of like equestrian eventing. Yeah, I don't know much about horses, Georgie. It's like front and back. (LAUGHS) All good. It's kinda complicated but still the same idea. Hey, Mr Wilde. Here is the running order and the points total. Thank you. Sorry I'm late getting that to ya. Don't be silly, Gracie. It's not actually your job; it's Becky's! BECKY: I'm busy. Oh, Georgie, this is Grace. Grace, this is Georgie. Hi. Georgie's staying with us. Cos, uh... cos Becky's got a new big sister! Yay! And George has to put up with Ryan. (LAUGHS) Hi, Georgia. Ryan's looking good out there today. I think he's trying to show off to someone. Becky, stop it. ANNOUNCER: Saunders going wide, pushing that back wheel. He just eats up those berms. Wilde takes the inside line, shows Saunders the wheel, and they come out bar to bar. Incredible riding from these two! After 20 minutes, here comes the checkers. And the win for Wilde! Hard fought, well earned! (ENGINES WHINE) Becky, get out of the rain. Yusss! Winning! Thanks, Becky. Good notes today, eh? That was awesome. Hey, you wanna get something to eat? Yeah, sure. Hey, Ryan. (GENTLE MUSIC) Two sausages, please. No mustard, thanks. So, what's the deal with you and Ryan? Oh, I don't know. He's shy. Doubt it. I like him just fine. So why are you living at the Wildes'? Um... my parents... Yeah, we were in a accident earlier this year, so... I have to live with Auntie Heather and Uncle Tom. What happened? Oh, just... (RAIN PATTERS) I'm sorry. (SIGHS) You should come over to my place sometime. Really? Yeah, of course. (LAUGHS) OK, yeah. That'd be awesome. Great. (LAUGHS) ANNOUNCER: It's the danger zone now for Saunders, who needs to stem the damage that Wilde is putting on him. The points lead is widening at an alarming rate. (ENGINES REV) (DRAMATIC MUSIC ESCALATES) A great start for the 102. Neck and neck, going into the whole shot. Wilde loves the mud. Balance and throttle control his specialty. But the 102 matching him all the way. He can't let the number one get away again. (FAST-PACED MUSIC) Saunders inside! Takes the lead. Wilde around the outside, keeping it tight. These conditions are appalling, causing all sorts of trouble in the mid-pack. The leaders way out front, clear of the carnage. Here comes the checkers. And win! This championship is a long way from being decided. (SQUEALS) (VOOM'S 'B YOUR BOY') (GROANS, PANTS) # I see you stay and just go crazy, girl. Did you have a nice trip? # I just wanna tell you how I feel about you, girl. (CHUCKLES) # You don't even have a clue. (SIGHS, CHUCKLES) # My whole world is... Oh yeah. This is gonna end well (!) # I wanna be your boy. # I wanna be your boy so bad. # I wanna be your boy. # And you can be my girl # cos I'd make you feel so good # if you'd be my girl.
