Welcome back to Windsor Castle on what has been a wonderful day of fanfare, Celebration and love. Welcome back to our studio here in the heart of Windsor, Which has been busy these last couple of days. It feels like we have never been away because we haven't. There is a good reason for that. Earlier today behind that wall Prince Harry married Megan Markle. (CHEERING, APPLAUSE) it was a beautiful service watch not just by this lot, but by an audience of 2 billion people. It was a magical occasion. We have all the highlights for you right here. Welcome to wedding of the day. We've got a very exciting love match for you this evening, And it is fair to say everyone played a blinder. Thanks for letting me out of the castle. Can I say it was very high up there. It was very high and very hot, but it was the best view in town. You really felt part of the event, because there were 2000 people in that low award today And they were all there for a good reason. It was a great spectacle. You've done a few of these. How does it compare to other state occasions? When we look back at today, in years to come, we will see this as a major milestone in the royal family. It's all about change. What is happened today is a signal of change. When you look at the diversity of the audience, And the range of people in the audience representing all kinds of people, When you look at the music, because the range of music settle very many different things, That's before you come to the bride and what she symbolises, And the way she did things in her own way today was very impressive, Very dignified. The bride's mother was also incredibly impressive. For all of those reasons, it was way beyond the kind of royal event we normally cover. 2011 was a major occasion, William and Kate. But there was a formality to it that was authoritative and impressive on the day. This was very different. It was meant to be different. And obviously now it is a reflection of the fact that people have picked up on this. There was a lack of formality and that has been seen to be a good thing. In the past the royal family would have seen that is something undesirable. Beautifully summed up. You'll stick around. The eyes of the world have been on this little market town. This morning as dawn broke, the tents were unzipped And the excitement stepped up a gear. At 9.30 this morning the gates opened allowing for the arrival of more than 600 lucky visitors. It was like a game of star spotting for all three of us. You're looking at Idris Elba there with his fiancee. And behind and we have the shy and retiring Oprah Winfrey. And there we are looking at James Blunt. What a spectacular outfit. Joss Stone is a friend of Harry's. There she is heading to her friends nuptials. This is the scene for you. Inside this wonderful chapel, Earl Spencer chatting to some guests. 600 people in this congregation, Representing friends and family. There we have the low award of Windsor Castle. People gathering in the sunshine of may, for this happy day. It couldn't be better weather. They are in for a feast. I'll refer in more detail later on to the kind of service we may be looking forward to. Without giving too many secrets, the music today is absolutely sublime. Marcus Montford. And Carrie Mulligan, his wife. And there we have possibly one of the biggest names. George and Amal Clooney. And the Beckham's two. And Johnny Wilkinson and his wife, with a lovely bump under her lace dress. He has a pretty prominent place in the Quire opposite. There is Elton John. James and Jules Corden. These are some of the actresses from Suits. They are done up to beat the band. Sarah Rafferty. Her suits co-star looking utterly splendid. Serena Williams, one of the greatest female tennis players ever to grace a court. And very recently returned to the court after giving birth to her first child. And now we have some members of the royal family, Who are making their way at quite a leisurely pace Down towards St George's Chapel. Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall. They were married back in 2011, back in Edinburgh. Zara Phillips is expecting a child. Inside that car is the bride to be. Meghan Markle and her mother, Doria Ragland. We will see a glimpse of the bride. The world is waiting. 1.9 billion views. We see she is wearing a veil, but not much more than that. Now we are looking at the groom and his best man. What a welcome they are getting. His brother was only recently asked to be the best man. This is a change of royal tradition. We learned only less than an hour ago, That we will see Prince Harry today put on a wedding ring. That is a new president that has been set. Waving to the crowds. This is what they've been waiting for. We know Prince Harry said in a wonderfully romantic piece of phrasing That when he fell for Meghan Markle, his phrase was the stars have aligned. The two brothers mounting the steps to the west door of St George's Chapel. Look at the amazing display of flowers and foliage. The Dean of Windsor, who is in charge of the service today. Reflecting this status of St George's Chapel, This is not under the jurisdiction of the Archbishop of Canterbury, It is under The Queens jurisdiction. It is what's known as a Royal peculiar. That reflects the special status of this chapel within Windsor, And the ancient College of Windsor, And the fact that this chapel has many centuries of royal tradition attached to it. Interesting today, when there was a choice around, Prince Harry has chosen to wear the frock coat of the blues and royals, Reflecting his army heritage. He does have more senior uniforms that he could choose from. This is a magnificent sight. That is unbeatable. You are looking at the largest street party in Britain. It is fantastic. They were expecting 100,000 people. I would be surprised if that was more. 20 or 30 deep. That is 2 � miles long. The next time we see Meghan Markle will be when she arrives at the west door. And waiting for her will be her future husband, Prince Harry, And the best man of course, the Duke of Cambridge. Just chatting and exchanging a few words of reassurance and advice. They look slightly nervous, but we completely understand that. There we have the mother of the bride being greeted at the south door. Making her way in. The Rolls-Royce Phantom six. This is a 1970s one, for those of you who are keen on the cars. This is bring the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall To the Galilee porch. This is the entrance that is used by members of the royal family. They will be making their way directly into the quire and into the stalls. Later on the Prince of Wales we making his way down the centre of St George's Chapel To wait for the bride as she arrives at the stroke of midday. We are five minutes away from the start of the wedding service. And of course her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Her Majesty, at the age of 92, clearly enjoying the day. And the Duke of Edinburgh, who has had his share of ill health, Delighted at the age of 97 that he is able to attend the wedding today. She must be feeling exceptionally proud of her daughter. Completely overwhelmed. The Queen has gone out of her way to make you feel welcome as have the rest of the members of the royal family. I would think she is feeling unbelievably proud that her daughter, an American, is about to marry into the royal family and become the Duchess of Sussex. (FANFARE) the State Trumpeters of the Household Cavalry with the grand fanfare Telling everyone at her Majesty has arrived at St George's Chapel. We are within minutes of this wedding service taking place. This is what I have been waiting for. As soon as we found out that one of the bridesmaid was 2 years old, all of the mothers just went, 'What are you thinking?' Megan has a huge connection as well. It is really nice that it is kind of 50-50. Along with little Ivy today, her brothers will be popping out soon. Twin brothers, age 7. They are all behaving very well so far. And in just a few moments time, the doors will open and we will get to see address that has been talked about more than any other dress in the last couple of months. A lot of speculation not least by us this morning. You see Meghan Markle and all the splendour. She has the twins with her. Out they come. Here comes the bride. And it looks to be an exquisitely cut and in many ways Minimal and traditional dress. With a splendid veil. She is wearing her hair up. The veil has been caught in the May sunshine. Stunning. A wave for the crowd. It does what I said ` it fuses that sophistication and she can is that Meghan brings to her outfits. It is absolutely beautiful. We are looking at Brian and John Mulroney. They are doing a pretty decent job. I don't reckon they have done this before. The dress is Givenchy. Nobody had mentioned her other than you this morning. She managed to keep it under wraps. We have some very special guests now. We are joined by some of the people who are actually there. We spoke to Tessie earlier today. Also Ryan and Marion, we are joined by them. Welcome to you all. As were watching that, you are spotting it all over again. Brian, had quite a nice day? I was invited by the Diana Ward Because I was really standing out. I think loads of people were saying that I was making a difference in where I was. The reason I am here is because I did the mentoring program. And I participated in it. Ryan, this is varied of me, but this is quite a scene we're seeing here. This is the Duke and Duchess of Sussex departing on some grand style. For the private evening reception at Frogmore House. That is a beautiful car. Tell me that Megan is driving please. We just caught a glimpse of what looks like a halter dress. Again, the bride is wearing a soft white. They are departing around the castle quadrangle. To join the guests. More than 600 were at St George's Chapel today. This evening, it will just be close friends and family. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will then return to Windsor Castle they will spend the night. A wave and they look, well, understandably delighted to be with each other. I think that dress is going to be on the dance floor until the wee hours this morning. Frogmore House is in the home part of Windsor Castle. That is a private area. The last wedding that the house was used for was a reception venue for the wedding of the Queen's eldest grandson. It was Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly back in 2008. If you fancy having a look at Frogmore House, for a few precious days every day, the house and garden is open to the public. For this young couple enjoying what is now a rather barmy and warm evening. HE WASN'T GETTING ANYTHING OUT OF IT! HE GAVE UP HIS LIFE AND SACRIFICED HIS LIFE FOR THE GOOD OF OTHERS, FOR THE GOOD OF THE OTHER, FOR THE WELL-BEING OF THE WORLD. FOR US, THAT'S WHAT LOVE IS. LOVE IS NOT SELFISH AND SELF-CENTRED. LOVE CAN BE SACRIFICIAL, AND IN SO DOING, BECOMES REDEMPTIVE. DR KING WAS RIGHT. WE MUST DISCOVER LOVE. THE REDEMPTIVE POWER OF LOVE. Diana gave a voice to the voiceless. She brought help to the helpless. She walked through minefields, to shine light. For them to invite us was a way for the charities to share their stories. I was standing next Oprah Winfrey! Did you talk to her? I had a beautiful conversation with her I realise we had the same colour outfit. A few people had the same outfit. It is nice to see the royal family standing by the side of the road waving rather than being in the procession. Surely this is going to be the first time that members of the public outside the castle walls that definitely more than 100,000 that was estimated who have come out to see them, get a chance to see the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex for the first time. What a lovely site that will be. I think the rules that we hear as they come around the streets of Windsor will be quite amazing. It is going to be an impressive show for the world to see. It is a symbol of military precision. The ceremonial flair that the British bring to these things. We see occasions like this sometimes and the Queen welcomes world leaders here. The procession will come up to the castle. What we will see there is really unlike anything. It is the longest procession through the streets of wonder we have seen in a very long time. These horses have special training to prepare them for crowds they will see and hear. Apparently they have earplugs in their ears to help them cope with the noise. It would be lovely for this mounted escort to see the groom and his uniform. I'm sure they would be particularly proud to be escorting them. Household cover is coming down. It really is quite a sight to see. There is a wonderful fusion here of significant British pageantry Matched with the rather charming small-scale streets of Windsor, Which are just sparkling today with these beautiful union flag banners. Estimates today that around about 200,000 people will be there. I think in the final count will be many more thousands than that. The Windsor greys are doing the job well. They not been put off. There were get a glance of the bride and the groom. Everyone has been working very hard on the gardens and their bunting. There are a lot of Stars & Stripes as well which is a very nice touch. A lot of Canadian maple leaves as well. The Commonwealth was a very big theme not only in the bride's wedding dress and her veil, she had every single flower of the Commonwealth. All 53 floral emblems of the Commonwealth embroidered on to her belt. That is properly why the veil was so long. It is a very nice touch. It is slightly redolent of the Queen's coronation down. In those days, but only had eight nations, today it has 53. Prince Harry has often talked so movingly about how his 10 years serving in the armed forces shaped them. For that reason it is so wonderful to see all of the regiments here today. Just looking at them now, happy and taking in all the kind of enjoyment of the day. I think it is normal, as well, at this point that we see them here, newly married couple, ready to embark on this fantastic journey back to Windsor Castle and the reception that will take place in a short while. The reception is hosted by her Majesty the Queen. There will be a private reception later on at Frogmore. Just a thought from you to know about the kind of lives that they plan to leave, the kind of things they plan to do. As they made very clear in the interview when they were engaged, they do see their future very strongly within the Commonwealth. Prince Harry is going to be a Commonwealth youth ambassador. Just as they turned the on to the long walk for the beginning of what really is the centrepiece of this precision. I think the Commonwealth, we have seen touches of it all throughout the service. It is an externally important part of their lives. We don't know whether honeymooners. We have had an awful lot about whether it will be somewhere in the Commonwealth. We know as well that they are literally going to hit the ground running. As soon as they are back from their honeymoon, they are going to be doing quite a lot of travel. We think there is possibly a trip to Dublin being considered. Maybe the Netherlands. In the autumn, they will embark on a big Commonwealth tour to Australia for the Invicta's games. Also possibly to New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga. As the world watches Windsor today, we reckon a worldwide audience of 1.9 maybe we'll be nudging 2 billion. I think Britain is showing its best face. And then there is the cake. There is been a lot of chat about the cake. The cake is elderflower and lemon. We saw a beautiful great big crate of Sicilian lemons on the Instagram account. There they are waving. Is it just me or are the cheers getting louder? Maybe they will have some time to enjoy each other's company before they meet the 600 guests. (both chuckle) she might take a moment. I think they might, who knows what they are saying to each other, I think they might both take a moment to congratulate each other I'm getting through what is essentially an intensely private moment under such scrutiny. As Harry walked down to St George's Chapel earlier today just after 11 o'clock, I did think he had the look of a slightly nervous groom about him. Not any more. He got his girl. He is a very happy man now, isn't he? And the role of the military today is now so personal to Harry. There are 250 members of the armed services or involved in making sure that the splendid bit of pageantry is all it should be. Many of them are servicemen that Harry knows well and has served with. What a shot. Joining us now just a very quickly share their thoughts on what has been an extraordinary event here at Windsor, you guys have stuck around. I just thought it was worth it. You have been watching it all today. What are your thoughts? I think there is such a lot of excitement in this marriage. Prince Harry has long been one of the most popular members of the royal family. People really want to see him happy. He has fallen for somebody who has a background that a lot of people can relate to. She has had to think about paying the bills and forging a career. I think for that reason they are going to be a bit of a tour to force on the world stage. A lot of people feel that they are relatedable. What moment in the ceremony stood up for you? There were so many. I have been talking and writing about how it feels different. But actually seeing it as visceral, it was a motive. I think my personal highlight was the sermon. Not just the delivery of it but the faces of some of the audience members. They quite clearly have never been to a black church before. It was priceless. It was unlike anything people they had experienced before. It was unlike anything the British people were seen before in the context of a royal wedding. It was pretty remarkable. He was saying don't underestimate it. In the nicest way possible, Bishop Michael was challenging the couple. He was challenging them to think about love and how they want to lead their lives. For me, that is the thought this evening. They have had a great start. For me, the acid test now is that they have an amazing platform. They have a lot of influence. They have supported some very prominent and radical forces. The big test for me is what will they achieve with that? It is all well and good to see the celebration which we have all loved and enjoyed. They will have to show some results as well. They do face to test. Do they get a honeymoon period for you? I want it now. It has been a marvellous day here in Windsor. One of the things that I thought was remarkable was that he said to young people fell in love and we all showed up.
