And great to have four more players hoping they've got what it takes to take on the challenge and be our final Brain Buster. First, our players will tackle their specialist subject round from our six options, hopefully score enough points to avoid elimination and stay in the game. Georgia, welcome to the show. - Kia ora. - Now, you have your own business. Can you tell me a little bit about that? - Yeah, so, I sell poi, and the name of my business is Potiki Poi. And I've got a baby brother. His name's Api. He's got Down syndrome. So when he's older, I want him to take my business for himself. - Tino pai. Georgia, that is awesome. What a really, really cool thing to do. Thank you so much for coming on to the show. - Thank you. - We also have William. Now, William, why do you want to be on Brain Busters? - Oh, I'm just here for the new experience, Chris. - Excellent. I'm sure we can accommodate that, William. We also have Molly. Molly, I hear you have quite the array of animals at home. How many? - Do chickens count? - Absolutely, chickens count, Molly. - I'm not sure. - (LAUGHS) So, too many! Too many! - Too many. - And we have some ducks as well? - Yup. - What are their names? - Bill and Sue, Elizabeth, Primrose, Lawrence. - OK, cool. So hopefully you get some animal questions in the mix here today for you, Molly. Thank you for coming on the show. And we also have Callum. Callum, what do you like to do in your spare time? - One thing that I like to do is actually drawing fictional maps, so pretty much I'll just make a line and then I'll build off it. It's kinda random, but it's relaxing. So, yeah, it's nice. Good to hear. I don't think Brain Busters will be quite as relaxing, Callum, but I'm sure you're up for the challenge, right? - Yep. Excellent. All right. Great to have you all here. So let's get into our first round of the day. It's a 90-second buzz-in quiz. It's Mega Memory. 10 points if you buzz in and get it right. But you will lose 10 points if you buzz in and get it wrong for Mega Memory. 90 seconds on the clock. Your time starts now. Which social media platform is sometimes abbreviated to IG? Georgia. - Instagram. - Which Disney movie is an animated recounting of the fairy tale of Rapunzel? Georgia. - Tangled. - Earthquake magnitudes are measured on what scale? William. - Richter scale. - Linguine and rigatoni are both types of what? Molly. - Pasta. - Which Korean-born New Zealand golfer was the youngest number one in the world`? Molly. - Nadia Lim. Oh! - Lydia Ko. In 'The Lego Movie 2', what sort of Lego was invading from outer space? Callum. - Duplo. - Which airline's planes have a red tail with a white kangaroo? Callum. - Qantas. - What is the name of Dora the Explorer's monkey? Georgia. - Boots. - Which company gave us the iPhone? William. - Apple. - The iris is found in which human body part? Callum. - The eye. - Rhianna and Calvin Harris found love in a hopeless what? William. - Place. - In 1987, the inaugural Rugby World Cup was won by which country? Callum. - All Blacks. - We needed the country; it was New Zealand. Sorry, Callum. And that does wrap up Mega Memory. Thank you so much for playing. Let's take a look now at the leaderboard. Georgia and William share the lead with 30 points. Callum has 20 points. Molly is yet to score. So we now move on to our specialist subject rounds. And first to go is Molly. Molly, what have you chosen to play? - Blueprinter. - Thank you very much, Molly. Let's play Blueprinter. She is first to take on her specialist subject round. Molly, please step forward. (TENSE ELECTRONIC MUSIC) All right, Molly. You're going to be hoping that we're at a farm or something... (CHUCKLES) potentially with your knowledge of animals. How it is gonna work is you're gonna have 30 seconds to memorise where we are. And then you're gonna have a further 30 seconds to input all the coordinates. Make sense? - Yep. - Perfect. OK, good luck. Let's take a look where we are today. We're at the Hampton Court Palace. Good luck. Your time starts now. Built in the early 16th century, Hampton Court Palace was once home to King Henry VIII and his many children and wives. The court also acted as a theatre. In fact, Shakespeare's first performance of Macbeth premiered there in 1606. 10 seconds left, Molly. (COUNTDOWN CLOCK BEEPS) And that is time up. Hopefully you managed to lock all those into the brain. You're gonna have 30 more seconds to input those coordinates. Here we go. Good luck. (TENSE MUSIC) Halfway. All put in. Thank you very much for that, Molly. How do you think you did? I know I got some right, but I'm a little uncertain about a couple. OK, that's good. I like the confidence. All right. Let's reveal how we did to start with. Like you said, that's the first one. And another. Got the Clock Court. And the Round Kitchen Court. Really good stuff. Sorry. I spoke too soon, Molly. Missed out on that one as well. Have we got the last one? Yes! Really nice stuff, Molly. Happy with that? - Yep. - Great job. Thank you so much for playing Blueprinter. Molly is now in first place with 100 points. But will it be enough to avoid elimination? Georgia and William for shared for second with 30 points. And Callum has 20 points. So next to take to the stand is Callum. What have you chosen today, Callum? - I've chosen Equaliser. - Thank you very much for that, Callum. Let's play Equaliser. Next up, it is Callum. Please step forward. (TENSE ELECTRONIC MUSIC) Think you're pretty handy with your maths, Callum? - Hope so. (CHUCKLES) - Let's see. 20 points for each correct equation. All the best. Here comes your first one. - Nice start. - Really, really good stuff. Out of time, sorry. 48 was our answer there. The square root of 64 subtract 3... multiplied by 27 equals... - 135. - Is correct. Great job there for Equaliser. So close to a perfect score, but a really great job, Callum. Thank you so much for playing Equaliser. - Thank you. - Callum has moved up to first place and is safe from that first elimination with 140 points. Molly is on 100 points. Georgia and William share third place with 30 points. A strong start by our first two players. And, of course, they are all hoping they have what it takes to head to the Ultimate Obstacle Course. - Here on the Brain Buster, our top two competitors will get the chance to go to the final round to turn their points into dollars. This is where gold is refined. But only one will leave victorious. - Kia ora for that, Mikey. And don't forget, of course you can play from home as well. Just hop online to HeiHei Games. Don't go anywhere, though. We'll see you right after the break. Just hop online to HeiHei Games. Don't go anywhere, though. We'll see you right after the break. * Nau mai hoki mai. Kia ora and welcome back to Brain Busters. Just before the break, we had Molly and Callum take on their specialist subject rounds. And next to give it a go and hope to avoid elimination, it is Georgia. Georgia, what have you chosen to play? - Reo Rangatira. - Thank you very much, Georgia. Let's play Reo Rangatira. It is now Georgia's turn, so please step forward. (TENSE ELECTRONIC MUSIC) So, Georgia, could you tell me a little bit more about your business? Are we wanting this thing to go, like, international? Or has it already gone international? - Yep. So we have shipped to Canada, Australia, all over the motu, and have probably sold our poi to more than 100 kapa haka groups. - Wow. Awesome stuff. That is so cool. Let's see, then, if your te reo skills are as good as your business skills. 20 points for each question. Good luck. What is a Maori word for tongue? - Arero. - Good start. In English, what is this dessert? Takakau uhi aporo. - Candy apples. - Apple pie. Also known as Te Rerenga Wairua, what cape do spirits leap from? - Cape Reinga. - Kapai. The Patea Maori Club had a number one song that also featured in the movie Boy. What was it? - 'Poi e'. - What is a Maori word for iPad? - iPapa. - Tino pai. What is the Maori name of our Earth Mother? - Papatuanuku. - Is correct. And that is Reo Rangatira done and dusted. Super fast. How did you think you went there? - I think I went pretty good. - You did go pretty good! Thank you so much, Georgia, for playing Reo Rangatira. - Thank you. - Callum is on 140 points. Georgia has 130 points. Molly is on 100 points, and William is on 30 points. Of course, William is our last remaining player to take on his specialist subject round. So, William, what are you playing today? - I'm playing on Identifier. - Thank you very much, William. Let's play Identifier. He wanted a cool experience, and I'm pretty sure we're giving it to him. So, William, please step forward. (TENSE ELECTRONIC MUSIC) All right, William, last take on your specialist subject. Currently in that elimination spot, OK? Need to avoid that if you can. Good luck. Here is your first one. Can we get underway with a nice correct answer? Sure can. Two from two. Nice stuff, William. And we may get three from three. Great job, William. Perfect! Doing really well so far. Can he continue? Nice. Had to have a think about this one. Let's take a look. Really, really good up until then, William. It's all right. Let's finish strong. Our last Identifier question. Wanted to finish strong, so can we? Absolutely. Just like that, William. Happy with your score? - Yep. - Nice work. Six out of a possible seven. Great job. Thank you for playing Identifier. William has gone from last to first and now has 150 points. Callum is on 140. Georgia is on 130, and Molly is on 100 points. So, Molly, unfortunately, I'm very sorry to tell you, you have been eliminated from Brain Busters. Pleasure having you on the show, though. You get go home with a $100 bank account as well. So what are you going to do with the money? - Save it. - Save it? You sure you don't want to spend it on, like, animal food or anything like that for the` all the animals you got? They're fine, aren't they? (LAUGHS) Cool. Thank you for coming on to the show, Molly. As for our three remaining players, it is one step closer to the Brain Buster. - Ooh, one has gone home and the three that are left must be feeling the heat now. I'll tell you what ` the real pressure begins when you get here. No pressure (!) - I don't know about that, Mikey. There's a lot of pressure coming up for our Brain Teaser now, which, of course, is our next round. All of our players have taken on their specialist subjects, and we are left with two. Today they are Spellbinder or Sequencer. So, Georgia, William and Callum, the choice is completely up to you. Please vote for which one you would like to play... now. Thanks you very much for voting. Let's start with Georgia and take a look at what she voted for. It was Sequencer. William has chosen... Spellbinder. So, Callum, it's down to you. Let's take a look. Spellbinder. So let's play Spellbinder. Just 20 points is what separates all of our players at the moment, so this is truly anyone's game. Of course, 30 points for a correct answer. Buzz in and get it wrong, though, you will lose 30 points. A lot on the line, so let's get into it. Here is your first word. Organic. Georgia. - SPELLS: - Nice work, Georgia. That is correct. Cappuccino. Callum. - SPELLS: - Incorrect, sorry, Callum. Your next word is 'irreversible'. Callum. - SPELLS: - Is correct. Nice work to get back to where you were. You last word, last opportunity as well is... 'dangerous'. William. - SPELLS: - Buzzed in super quick and got it right. William, congratulations on getting our last word there for the Brain Teaser. And thank you, everyone, for playing that one. Let's see now where our leaderboard is. William has 180 points. Georgia moves up to second with 160 points. And Callum is on 140 points. So, Callum, unfortunately just missing out today. Eliminated from Brain Busters. But thank you so much for playing. It's been great having you here. Of course, $100 bank account. That's all yours, mate. So what are going to do with the money? - Uh, right now, I'm actually saving up for a PC, so most of it's probably going to go to a PC. - Nice. Good luck with building it as well, man. Thank you so much for playing. As for Georgia and William, congratulations. It is now on to Brain Buster. - The ultimate test of strength, speed and smarts where our two finalists will navigate themselves through the Brain Buster. Only one can cash out, though. Who's it gonna be? Stay right there. We'll be right back after the break. Only one can cash out, though. Who's it gonna be? Stay right there. We'll be right back after the break. * - Kia ora and welcome back to Brain Busters. Over the course of the show, four players have now become two. So let's head over to Mikey to see who can be called the ultimate Brain Buster! - The moment has finally come. I'm joined here with our two finalists, Georgia and William. Now, Georgia, I know we were talking backstage about heights. You're a bit afraid of heights, but standing up here, looking pretty confident. - Yeah, I'm pretty confident now. I'll just try my best. - Awesome. And I know you'll do your best. And how about you, William? You got your game face on? - Oh, yeah, I'm a bit nervous, but hey, let's give this a try. - Awesome, guys. Well, let's jump up on our zip lines and let's get ready to rock and roll. Here we go. Three, two, one. Go! (ZIP LINES WHIRR) Georgia is only 20 points behind William, but can she take out this race? We'll soon find out. She's first down the Neurotransmitter with William on her tail. On to the Molecule Steps. Careful now. Georgia's nearly missed her code! They both need to memorise it for the next part of the race. Easy peasy down that Corpus Callosum. And William now at the Hippocampus with that code. (NUMBER PAD BEEPS) Codes are in. Have they remembered correctly? Yes! It's 50/50 as they head up the Parietal Lobe. A lot of strength needed here. Ooh! Georgia's fallen off! And William's halfway through the tunnel! Oh, that'll put her a wee bit behind. William is out of the tunnel and ready for the Frontal Lobe. Georgia has some real catching up to do. And there she goes through the tunnel. She might still have a chance here. William's already had the DNA Molecule Ladder and has plenty of time to try different combinations to change the lights before Georgia can. She's closing in on him. William is still at those numbers. Either of them could win this now. It's neck and neck! Who's gonna do it? William! And then Georgia! It's a race to the finish! Both darting down the ladders to the Basal Ganglia. Oh, my goodness. This is close! Who's it gonna be? I can't tell, Chris. (LAUGHS) Wow! Just like that. What a race, William and Georgia. Bring it across here, Georgia. Great stuff to both of you. We start with you, Georgia. So, so close at the end, just getting caught on the final obstacle. But how was the race? - It was good, yeah. - A whole lotta fun? - Yep. - Thank you so much for being part of Brain Busters. Second place today. Unfortunately, we do have to eliminate you now. You get to go home with a $100 bank account as well. So what are you going to do with the money? - I'm going to go out to have a whanau meal. - Awesome choice. Enjoy that. William, congratulations. You've won Brain Busters today. How does it feel? - Amazing, really. - Great to hear. And so for William, it is now on to Amygdala. William, once again, congratulations on being today's Brain Buster. So here we are at the Amygdala. How it is going to work is I'm going to ask 10 questions. Each is worth a certain amount of money, and how we've worked that out is your points that you played with earlier. So you had 180 points going into this, and Georgia had 160 points. So with a combined total, you're playing for $340. So each question you get correct is worth $34. Shall we try and get the maximum? - Let's go. - That's the attitude. All right. Good luck, William. All the best. Which actor performs the song 'You're Welcome' in the hit movie Moana? - Ummm... Dwayne Johnson? - That's correct. Nice start. Which country's red, white and blue flag is known as the Stars and Stripes? - Uh, America. - Correct. Who is referred to as an insufferable know-it-all and Little Miss Perfect in the Harry Potter books? - Hermione. - It is Hermione. The Norwest Arch is a weather pattern peculiar to the East Coast of which New Zealand island? - The Chatham Islands. - South. Edmonds is known by the tagline 'sure to rise'. So what was the brand's first product that made it famous? - Baking soda. - Baking soda locked in there. Do you do a bit of baking, William? - Yeah, occasionally. - No. Very close, though. Baking powder was the answer there. Still doing a great job, William. Signed to a record label at age 14 was which singer with the surname Swift? - Taylor Swift. - Seems like a pretty good answer to me. Of course, it's Taylor Swift. Gull Falls, or Gullfoss, is located in Iceland which is considered part of which continent? (TENSE MUSIC) - Asia. - Iceland. Is it located in Asia? Took the guess. Unfortunately not. It was Europe. OK. Last up, William, for the Amygdala. What planet is being referred to in the name of the TV series 3rd Rock from the Sun? - Earth. - Earth locked in. Our final Amygdala question. Let's see. Of course, it's the third rock from the sun. William, great job. As we can see, $170. William, it is all yours. Congratulations. What are you going to do with the money? - Uh, I'm going to try and save it up and buy myself a phone when I'm allowed one. - LAUGHS: When you're allowed one! I liked it. Good stuff, William. Hey, put it there. Thank you so much for coming on the show. It's been great having you. - Congratulations, William. If you think you can tackle the Brain Buster just like our man William, jump online and head to HeiHei Games. - Thank you so much for joining us today.
