Four players three rounds, two players race, one winner takes it all. Kia ora, I'm Chris Cook and this is Brain Busters. Get ready for a series of escalating rounds where we test our players on maths, memory, te reo, spelling and more before it all leads up to this ` the Brain Buster. Chilling out with your man, Mikey Falesiu. Will today's top two players be ready to take on the ultimate obstacle course? I hope they are, because it's about to get real. Let's go! Kia ora, Mikey. And don't forget, you can play from home as well. So let's meet today's Brain Busters. Nau mai haere mai, and welcome along to Brain Busters. Today we have four players hoping they've got what it takes to be called the ultimate Brain Buster. Now, our players will start their with specialist subject rounds, where they can choose from six of our options. They'll have to gain enough points to stay in this game and avoid elimination. So let's meet our players now. Firstly, welcome to the show, Kahlia. Great to have you here. - Thank you. Now I hear you're right into your kapa haka, so went to the Kapa Haka Primary School Nationals. It's all come down to this for our top two players, the ultimate obstacle course. So, less talk more action. Let's get ready to fly. Fly! Bodie and Madeline zipline their way across and into the Brain Buster. The winner will be playing for a massive $360, so you better give it all you've got! Down the neurotransmitters for a start, and on to the molecule steps. Will Bodie's football skills help him here? Some fancy footwork to make it across. I hope you got a good look at your code there, Bodie. And here comes our aspiring palaeontologist, Madeline. She'll have to be quick to keep up with Bodie, who did have his code after all. Madeline's turn at the hippocampus now, aced it! Shot, Madeline! The Parietal Lobe is next, and Bodie and Madeline both seem to be tackling the challenge head on. Bodie already up the top and into the tunnel. I'm not sure what kind of climbing skills dinosaurs had, but Madeline's definitely got skills as she also made it up the wall into the tunnel. Bodie's crossing the frontal lobe. He has a clear lead at the moment. One slip up, though, everything could change, because here comes Madeleine, She's hot on his tail. Can Bodie find the combination before Madeleine catches up? He can. But that's not going to stop Madeline. She's showing great determination here and she activates her side of the Brain Buster. Bodie enters the Basal Ganglia. Under and over. Here comes Madeline now. But Bodie just takes it out. Man, this was a good one today, Chris. - Awesome stuff, guys. - As our race is complete, I'll get you to bring it across this way. Madeleine, we'll start with you, though. How much fun was the obstacle course? - It was pretty fun. - Pretty fun. - And, hey, you did a fantastic job so close, you really caught up with near the end there as well.
