Well, all four of our players have now completed their specialist subject rounds, so let's take a look at the leaderboard. Seb takes back the lead. He now has 130 points. Riley is close behind on 120 points. Then, we have Addison on 90 points and Arina on 50 points. So, Arina, I'm sorry to say, but you have been eliminated from Brain Busters. A $100 bank account is all yours, and what will you do with the money? - Um, probably spend it on shoes. - Awesome stuff, Arina. Thanks for coming on to the show. - Thanks. - And congratulations to our three remaining players. For them, it's one step closer to the Brain Buster. - Three players left, two will race, but only one will go through to Amygdala to turn their points into money! - But before we can get to that money, Mikey, we have our Brain Teaser. Now, all of our players today have gone through their specialist subject rounds, and we're left with two options for our players to choose from. Today, those options are Spellbinder or Reo Rangatira. So, Riley, Seb, and Addison, please select which one you would like to play now. Thank you, everyone, for your votes. We'll start with Riley, who has voted for... Spellbinder. Addison would like to play... Reo Rangatira, and Seb has chosen... Spellbinder. Thank you, everyone, for the votes. Let's play Spellbinder. Some great points already for our three players. Can we add to it now? Let's find out. Good luck, everyone. Here comes your first word. 'Celery.' Riley. - Could you please use that in a sentence? - I ate celery sticks for lunch. Correct. 'Terrify.' Addison. - ...F-I` - I-F-Y. Sorry, Addison. Very close. And our final Spellbinder word is... 'Diagonal.' Riley. - ...I-O` - No I. Sorry, Riley. Just O-N-A-L to finish our final word. Thank you, everyone, for taking on the Brain Teaser. Let's have a look now at our final leaderboard. Seb has 130 points. Riley has 120 points. Then, we have Addison on 60 points. So, unfortunately, we do need to eliminate our second player today on Brain Busters, and Addison, that will be you. You get a $100 bank account, though, so what will you do with the money? - Um, I'm probably going to save it until I want or need something. - Sounds good to me, Addison. Best of luck with the football as well. And congratulations to Riley and to Seb. For them, it's now on to the Brain Buster. - The ultimate obstacle course, where our top two players will battle it out to see who will be crowned as the champ. You don't want to miss this. Stay right there. Hi! Activated almonds occur when you soak walnut in sea salt solution overnight. Wanna race? Oh, nice! (LAUGHS) (ALL CHEER) VOICEOVER: Nintendo Switch. Play. Connect. to see who will be crowned as the champ. You don't want to miss this. Stay right there. * - Welcome back to Brain Busters. We just have two players remaining as they get ready to take on the ultimate obstacle course. It's time for the Brain Buster! - The moment of truth has come for our final two contestants, Riley and Seb. Shot, boys, on making it this far. Now, Riley, football is your sport, man. Tell us about that. - Yeah, well, a few years ago, I started playing football at Dunedin Technical in Dunedin, and then this year, I moved to Grants Braes, and we won our division. Awesome, man! You ready to win the Brain Buster? - Yeah. - Nice. Love the confidence. Best of luck. And Seb, rowing is your sport. How'd you get into that, bro? - Oh, I had a couple of friends who wanted to do it with me, and I also knew a couple of people who were already doing it, so I just decided to give it a try. - Well, I'm sure your friends are happy that you made it this far. You ready to get that done today? - Yeah, hopefully. - Best of luck to you both, boys. It's now time to jump on to our zip lines, and let's get ready to fly. Here we go. Three, two, one. Showtime! And our show starts with Riley and Seb zip lining their way into the Brain Buster. The points between these two have been close. Will the race have a similar story? Just like the ski slope, Seb is straight down the neurotransmitter and jumping across the molecule steps. Some impressive footwork there from Riley also. I'm sure Riley's pug Chloe is barking in support at home. They both make their way through the corpus callosum and it's still Seb who's holding on to the lead. Platform drops for our two players. You know what time it is. It's climbing time! And Seb's up already. Whoo! That was fast. Through the tunnel, now, as Riley is doing everything he can to catch up. These two are both smashing it. Keep it up, guys. One foot after the other. Seb is leaping across the frontal lobe, and Riley is quick across it also. Could this be where Riley catches up? Seb's looking now to activate his side of the Brain Buster. And there it is! It's only the basal ganglia left to take on for Seb to claim that victory. Riley is desperately trying to work out the switch, but it just won't activate! Seb smashes that buzzer, taking the win. It was a tough ask for Riley to catch up here, Chris, but Seb was just too quick today. Still, some great moments today for both of our players. - Nice job, Riley, and nice work, Seb. Right, come across this way. We'll start with you. Well, team, Mikey asked for a show, and that's exactly what you've put on. Congratulations on a great race. How was it for you, Riley? - Yeah, good. (PANTS) - Enjoyed it? - Yeah. - That's the main thing. A little bit puffed, but that's OK. A $100 bank account is all yours as well. Riley, what are you going to be doing with the money? - Think I'll save it up for a gaming headset. - Yeah, nice choice, Riley. Seb, congratulations. - Thank you. - You've beat the Brain Buster. How does that feel? - It feels really good. Yeah. - Done a fantastic job. One thing left to do, Seb, though, and that is, of course, taking on Amygdala. Well, we started at the top of the mountain and you've skied your way down to a Brain Buster victory. Seb, congratulations. - Thanks. - You're the champion. How does that feel? - It feels really good. - You've done an amazing job to get to this point, Seb. Played really well today. 130 points for you. Riley, who you went up against in the Brain Buster, scored 120 points, which means you're playing for $250. How much money can we win? - Hopefully, hopefully it all. - $250? - Yes, hopefully. - Let's do it. Good luck, Seb. - Thanks. - Vodafone's logo is white and which other colour? - Red. - Correct. What is the largest town on the South Island's West Coast? - Uh... Glenorchy? Yeah. Uh, I'm gonna go with Glenorchy. - Greymouth. - (GROANS SOFTLY) - Two in a row ` I think you could have got there. Next up. Which is not a type of computer storage ` flash drive, hard drive, left-hand drive? - Left-hand drive. - That is correct. '10 in the bed and the little one said...?' - Uh... Red? I'm not sure. - Have an answer, Seb? - Uh... Red. (SCOFFS) I'm not sure. - 'Roll over.' Haven't heard it before? - No. Never. - Oh, a classic! All right. Next one. - Which kind of movement is the cha cha? - Uh, a dance. - Do you often put on your dancing shoes, Seb? - (CHUCKLES) No, not much. - I suppose you do a little bit of a dance when you're skiing down the slopes, though, right? - Yeah, a little bit. (LAUGHS) - Dance is correct. In Washington, D.C., which political leader lives in the White House? - Uh, the president. - Correct. Now, we're on a roll. In music, how many notes are in a pentatonic scale? - Five? - How's your music knowledge, Seb? - Not brilliant. - Know your crotchets from your minims? - Yes, but not much else. - But we think we've got this one? - Yes. - You are correct. In which Olympic sport do athletes drop 10m into water? - Diving. - That's it! Finally, for Amygdala ` in which New Zealand city is the rugby venue Eden Park? - Auckland. - First time we've had a wee smile on our face during Amygdala there. - (LAUGHS) - 100% on this one? - Yes. - Auckland locked in for our final Amygdala question. (DING!) And it is, of course, the right answer. Seb, well played. Let's take a look. $175 is all yours. Congratulations. What are you gonna do with the money? - Uh, probably some new ski goggles. - Awesome. Hey. all the best for the next season as well, man. - Thanks. Congratulations. $175! - Well done, Seb. You happy with that amount? - Yeah, definitely. - I'm sure you are, man.
