Andy is on 50 points, Max has 10 points, and Megan has 10 points as well. Seeing that Max and Megan are both on the same score, we'll simply go from left to right, which means Max gets to go next. What would you like to play? - Equaliser. - Thanks, Max. Let's play Equaliser. Max, please step forward. (DRAMATIC MUSIC) How's our maths, Max? - All right, I think. Yeah. - Can we get a perfect score, just like Marica? - Hopefully. - Let's try. Good luck. Here comes your first equation. READS: - 49. (POSITIVE CHIME) - Correct. - 18. (POSITIVE CHIME) - 257. So, an impressive start today on Brain Busters, but all four players are hoping they have got what it takes to head to the Brain Buster. - One winner will go through to Amygdala to turn their points into moolah. To do that, you've got to get through the ultimate obstacle course. Chris, you reckon they're up for it? - Oh, they are definitely up for it, Mikey. And don't forget, you can play as well. Simply head online to HEIHEI Games. Don't go anywhere. We'll see you a muri i te whakata. * Hoki mai ano. Welcome back to Brain Busters. Just before the break, we had Marica and Max take on their specialist subject rounds, and coming forward next to play is Megan. What would you like to play? - Identifier. - Thank you, Megan. Let's play Identifier. Megan, please step forward. (INTENSE MUSIC) Walking forward with a whole lot of confidence. - (LAUGHS NERVOUSLY) - Ready to get into it? - Yeah. - Let's do it. Your time starts now. One of the most difficult to reach regions in Aotearoa, Milford Sound was inaccessible by road until the construction of the 1.2km Homer tunnel, which was finished in 1953, and pierces through the impressive mountains that divide the Sounds from the Hollyford Valley. (CLOCK TICKS) 10 seconds left. (ALARM RINGS) That's time, Andy. 30 seconds now to put in your answers, which starts now. Halfway, Andy. (CLOCK TICKS) Triple-checking before we placed that last one. (POSITIVE CHIME) Mossburn is though. (NEGATIVE CHIME) And we couldn't finish it with Walter Peak. Still, not a bad effort, Andy. Thank you very much for taking on Blueprinter. And just like that, our specialist subject rounds are complete. So, let's take a look now at the leaderboard. Marica has managed to hold on to that lead still, with 140 points. Max has 130 points; Andy now joins him on 130 points. Then we have Megan on 50 points. So, unfortunately, we do need to eliminate our first player today on Brain Busters, and Megan, I'm very sorry to say that it is you, but the good news is you get a $100 bank account. So what will you be doing with the money, Megan? - I'm going to buy Minecraft Java Edition, and some really high quality gamer headphones. - Oh, awesome, Megan. All the best. Thank you so much for coming onto the show, and congratulations to our three remaining players. For them, it's one step closer to the Brain Buster. - Only three players remaining, which means crunch time is not far away. I hope our top two are ready for this. - Me too, Mikey. And with scores this close, I'm sure they are. So, now we move into our Brain-Teaser. All of our players have gone through their specialist subject rounds, and we're left with two options for our players to choose from. Today those options are Reo Rangatira and Sequencer. So, Max, Andy and Marica, please select which one you would like to play now. Thank you, everyone, for voting. We will start with Max, who has voted for Reo Rangatira. Andy has voted for Sequencer. So it comes down to Marica, who has voted for Sequencer. There we go. Let's play Sequencer. So, as I mentioned, scores very close here ` anyone's game, so let's play. Good luck. Here comes your first sequence. READS: When were these best-selling children's toys first released, from earliest to most recent. Finally for the Brain-Teaser - In which order were these internet browsers launched? Andy. - Uh, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. - Andy needs this one to be right. (THREE POSITIVE CHIMES) And it is right. Congratulations, Andy, and well played to everyone. That is our Brain-Teaser complete. Let's have a look now at our final leaderboard. Max now has 160 points. Andy also has 160 points. Then we have Marica on 140 points. So, a very close battle, but unfortunately, Marica, you have been eliminated from Brain Busters. Thanks for playing, and you get a $100 bank account. What will you do with the money? - I'll probably just save it up. - Smart choice, Marica. Thanks for coming on the show. And congratulations to Max and Andy. For them, it's now on to the Brain Buster. - Only one player will get the chance to go to Amygdala and cash out. Who will it be? Find out after the break. Who will it be? Find out after the break. * Nau mai hoki mai. We're finally here. It's time for the Brain Buster! - It's finally crunch time for our final two contestants, Max and Andy. Shot, boys, on making it this far. Now, I know, Max, basketball is your sport. Tell us why that is, man? - Just like how fast-paced it is. And it's just` Yeah, you always` You're never missing out when you're on the court. - True. Well, that's exactly what the Brain Buster's going to be like, man, so best of luck to you. Andy, Dad owns an aeroplane, bro. Tell us what that experience is like. - It's a fun experience. You can rise up in the air, and you can zoom around the country. - Right. - Blenheim to Wanaka in about two hours. - Wow, man. That's awesome. It must be nice. You ready to fly through that Brain Buster? - Yep. - Awesome. Best of luck to you both. It's now time to jump on to our ziplines. Let's get ready to fly. Here we go. Three, two, one. Zoom, zoom, zoom, zoom! Max and Andy, I hope you're ready to take on the ultimate obstacle course. They've been tied on the leaderboard for most of the show today, so let's see who will defeat the other by the end of the race. On to the Molecule Steps. So far, so good. Max is first into the Corpus Callosum with that code in his head, and Andy flies in just behind. The Hippocampus is next and still pretty close. Codes being punched in and... slam dunk! Farming is hard work, but the Brain Buster can make anyone sheepish. Not Andy, though. He's ploughing up the Parietal Lobe. Max said he likes a fast-paced basketball game, and he's definitely fast here. Andy coming through the tunnel now, but will he be able to catch up to Max, who's making his way across the Frontal Lobe? Only a few steps to go before he reaches the DNA Molecule switches. Andy has just landed on the first disc. You'll have to move faster. (SWITCH BOOMS) Max activates his side of the Brain Buster. This could be all over for Andy as Max flies into the Basal Ganglia. Really nice work, Max. You are today's winner. (BUZZER BOOMS) Andy making his way down now. Good job, bro. You weren't quite able to fly past Max and steal the win, but you motored through it like a champ. That was a tough one today, Chris. - There we go. Done and dusted. Pop back round behind there, Andy. Max, we'll get you to come across this way, and we'll start with you, Andy. Now, I need to know ` What's tougher ` a hard day out on the farm, or the Brain Buster? - Oh, this was a bit hard. - (LAUGHS) Good fun, though? - PANTS: Yeah. - Great to hear, Andy. Clearly you worked super hard there ` puffing. But, hey. You've done a fantastic job. You've scored yourself $100 bank account, Andy. So what would you like to do with the money? - I'm probably gonna put it towards a new motorbike I'm gonna save up for. - Oh, very flash, indeed. Andy, it's been great having you here on the show. Congratulations. - Thank you. - Max, you've taken out the Brain Buster. What's going through your head right now? - Oh, just very exhausted. It's a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. - Yeah. It's pretty tricky, isn't it? - Yeah. - It's not called the ultimate obstacle course for nothing. But Max, you've done really well. Congratulations. One thing to left do, and that's taking on Amygdala. Max, what a tough battle it's been today. Very competitive indeed, but here you are ` our last player standing. Ready to take on Amygdala? - Yeah, hopefully. Yeah. - You've done amazing, mate. You scored 160 points, and as I said, very competitive. Andy scored 160 points as well. And then we had a great battle, there, on the Brain Buster, but it is you. 10 questions. How many can we get right? - Hopefully all 10. That's the way to think. Good luck. The correct answer is a mouse. - Ohh. - Think you were thinking of Chicken Little. - Yeah, I was. Yeah. - (LAUGHS) Which NRL team is Tiki the mascot for? - The Warriors. (POSITIVE CHIME) - Yeah. Nicely done. Very well played there. Next up ` On a traditional drum kit, what do you play the bass drum with? - A foot. - Last time I checked, you don't really use your feet for drumsticks. And finally, which New Zealand city's three letter airport code is CHC? - Christchurch. - Got this one? - I think so. I don't wanna jinx it, though. (POSITIVE CHIME) - There you go. You heard the ding. Congratulations. You have won $224, Max. Really well played there. Some great answers, and a couple of good guesses as well. What are you going to do with the money? - Might just save up for, like, a new pair of shoes probably. - Awesome, Max. It's been great to have you on the show. Congratulations once again. $224. - Well done, Max. You happy with that performance? - Yeah, I'm pretty happy with it. Yeah. - Do you reckon it was the same colour T-shirt? - I reckon. - (LAUGHS) - Hey, my man!
