- Previously on The InBetween... I see ghosts. I hear them. - Cassie! - And sometimes they just show up. Lately you've been forgetting things, and I need you to get checked out. - OK. - ASANTE: She's gone. - I saw some strange stuff. I think it might be related to your case. - HACKETT: Cassie has certain abilities that can be very helpful. What she sees... is incredibly rough on her. (TENSE MUSIC) (DOG BARKS IN DISTANCE) (GLASS SHATTERS NEARBY) (BLADE SLICES) - (GRUNTS) (GASPS) (GROANS) (COUGHS) (DRAMATIC MUSIC RISES) (GRUNTS) (WHIMPERS) (GASPS, PANTS) (OMINOUS MUSIC) (INDISTINCT CHATTER) - Is that all we have so far? The arm? - AMY: Looks like it washed up sometime early this morning. - Ugh. What are the chances its owner's still alive somewhere? - None. This tissue was already necrotic when the arm was severed. - Any way to tell how it happened? - Not definitively. - Do you think a sword could have done that? - I'm gonna apply Occam's razor and go with boat propeller. The rest of her is probably still out there. - We'll get the dive team searching. - Can we get an ID? - Coming up. (TENSE MUSIC) Her name was... Holly Anderson. 29 years old. - When I didn't see you at the precinct this morning, I thought maybe you needed another day. - I'm not doing anyone any good sitting around my apartment, least of all myself. No, the best thing for me is to... be at work. - Let me know if you need more time. - I will. And hey. You and Cassie coming to the funeral, that meant a lot. - We wanted to be there for you. - (EXHALES SHARPLY) (INDIE ROCK MUSIC PLAYS LOUDLY) - WILL SINGS ALONG: Down, down, down, down, down. - I keep forgetting you're one of them. - Indie rock fan? - No, a morning person. - (LOWERS VOLUME) - But I do approve of the tune. - You're into Chosen Time? - Oh yeah. I mean, when I was a kid. My mom loved them. She was a local girl. They were a local band. Made good, you know? She always said that Jace Gray wrote the soundtrack to her life. - Oh man. You, uh... You haven't heard? - Heard what? - Jace Gray, he died last night. - No. Was he stabbed to death? - Wow. You go right to the dark place. No, I think it was a heart attack. - Right. - OK. Thanks. Sounds like Holly's a perpetual student. She's been certified as a home aid, a dental hygienist, a real estate broker, and a tattoo artist but never held down a full-time job. Why were you asking Shu about a sword? - Cassie called me about something this morning. Doesn't seem to be related. - Oh. - What have we got here? - Looks like we found our crime scene. (SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC) (POLICE RADIO CHATTER) Could be a burglary gone wrong. Drawers in the bedroom have been rifled through. Purse is gone. There was a rug here. Maybe it was used to wrap up her body. - Burglars tend to leave the body where it falls. You see that lamp there? If that had been knocked over in a real struggle, that bulb would have broken. Someone's laid it on its side. - The scene has been staged. - She had this up in the kitchen. For the last three weeks, random days are marked with a pink heart sticker. - Dates with a new guy maybe? - Hey, look at this. Check out her hand. - That ring was not on Holly's right hand when we found it. - And we didn't find it in the apartment. - No. - We hadn't talked with Holly in more than a week, but she seemed fine the last time we spoke. - Was your sister seeing anyone? - Um, I don't think so. She said she was concentrating on work. - What kind of work was she doing? - She was reading tarot cards at a little place in Pioneer Square. Um, Madame Coco's. She said that Coco was very happy with her. - Tarot cards? Like fortune telling? - It sounded more like therapy. The client asks a question, and the reader lays out the cards, and then they interpret them. My sister was searching for a lot of years to find a purpose. She felt like this was it. - Of course, she'd said that before. Come on, babe. You know it's true. - My sister was a free spirit. She was passionate, fiercely loyal, brilliant. - It's hard to be a free spirit in an expensive city like Seattle, though, isn't it? - We inherited a little from our parents. If she needed anything extra, she came to us. - The ring that Holly is wearing in this picture... - It's our grandmother's. - Is it valuable? - Well, that's a real emerald, so it's probably worth about $10,000. - Are you saying someone murdered Holly for her ring? - MAN SINGS: 'Been digging this hole of mine for way too long, 'for way too lo`' (TENSE MUSIC) - (CHUCKLES) 'Hoping to find a new place of mine. 'My sense of direction not too good these days.' (WHISTLES TUNE) (CONTINUES WHISTLING) (WHISTLES FOR ATTENTION) Hello down there. Ha ha! You can see me! Yeah! Man, I thought it was my imagination. Hey, question. This, uh... This isn't Heaven, right? - No. - OK, good, cos that'd be a little bit of a let-down. - (CHUCKLES) - Hey, are you a groupie? Yeah. I didn't think so. What, then? Spiritual intern? Guardian angel? What? - Not quite. I can see people who aren't alive anymore. - Huh. I saw that movie. What's your name, sister? - Cassie. - Cassie. I know. We just met. But, uh, seeing as you're the first person who can actually see me, do you think you could help me with something? It's important. - Yeah, I can try. - OK, well, I've had this thing on my mind since, um... Sorry, when did I check out? - Last night. - Last night. I was standing in my living room, and I was thinking, you know, maybe have another beer, watch the finale of Game of Thrones, and then there was this crazy pain, like a... like a star exploding in my chest. But just before it all went black, I had this... this one thought, this one clear, singular thought. 'Find Billy.' - Who's Billy? - My son. I think. We've, uh... We've never actually met. - Holly had been reading cards for me for a few months. - HACKETT: Did Holly know that your real name wasn't Madame Coco, that it was Esther Legato? - Or that you've got a record going back 15 years for fraud and tax evasion? - It didn't come up. - Well, how about that assault conviction in 2008? - (SCOFFS) - Stabbed your third husband after you found out he was cheating. - Well, I was young and foolish. Look, I had no reason to mess with Holly. When she worked here, she made good money. - When did you last see her? - Three weeks ago? She asked me to read the tarot for her, said she had a big decision to make. - Did she say what it was about? - She didn't. But when I laid the cards out for her, she got very excited and said she knew just what to do. And then she asked me for a loan. $10,000. I said that wasn't gonna happen, and she left in a huff. - Did she offer to trade her emerald ring? - She didn't offer. I wouldn't have accepted. I don't deal in second-hand jewellery. It's got bad vibes. - When you read Holly, do you remember the cards that she drew, what they meant? It just might help us work out what she was doing the past few weeks. - Everything in the tarot is open to interpretation, but let's see. Holly got The Empress... and The Tower. That's strength and change. And she got... the Four of Wands. That's marriage and community. - Anything with swords? - Yes. 10 of Swords. (OMINOUS MUSIC) It's a very powerful card. It speaks to betrayal and loss, crisis. Even death. (MUSIC CONTINUES) Captions were made with support from NZ On Air. www.able.co.nz Copyright Able 2022 - BRIAN: Sweetie, I heard the news today, and I wanted to check on you. Look, I know any talk about Jace Gray reminds you of your mom. - Yeah. - When we were in college, she and I would go see them at this little club on weekends. - Yeah, and they were this close. This was, of course, before they hit it big. - You've heard the stories. - Yeah, like a million times. (SOFT MUSIC) Oh. I can't believe you kept all this. Wow. Aw, my mom's necklace. I forgot I put this in here. She never took this off. - She loved you so much. She'd be so proud of you, kiddo. - Hm. - Look, there's another reason I'm here. Whatever's happening with me, we're gonna know after the MRI on Friday. But if you've already got some... inside information, you can tell me, especially if it's bad news. I don't want you carrying that burden alone. - I don't know anything, I swear. When I'm too close to the situation, everything gets murky. You know, it becomes about... what I want or what I'm afraid of, not about what is. - OK. You wanna grab some lunch? - Sure. (EERIE MUSIC) - For you. Only for you. - (PANTS) - I don't know, kiddo. The victim didn't have any children. - There's something else I'm dealing with right now, something else going on, and it is about a child, a little boy, so maybe it was about that. - Sounds like you got a lot on your plate. - Yeah, including warmed-up frittata. I'll talk to you later. - Bye. - Hey, Hackett, we got a hit on Holly's ring. Pawnshop in Roxhill. - I knew it was too good to be true. The guy only wanted five grand for it. It's worth twice that. But I've got a soft spot for ex-cons, having been wrongfully incarcerated myself more than once. - How did you know he was an ex-con? - He was loaded up in jailhouse tats. Big rat skull on his neck in classic cellblock blue. I know the rules, but, uh, if you think I might be able to get the ring back... - It's evidence in a homicide, Goldie. - Well, this is the last address I could find for Penny Larkin. Does it look familiar? - Uh, no, not really. The last time I was at her place was when... she told me she was pregnant and the kid was mine. The band was about to leave on a world tour. We were gonna be on the road for two years and then back into the studio again, not to mention my... raging drug addiction. I mean, I wasn't really father material back then. - Penny never asked for money? - No. She was a very independent woman. I said to her then, 'If there's anything that you need, you just reach out.' - Mm-hm. - And that was the last time I heard from her. She looks like she's fallen on hard times, though. - Yeah. Maybe I should go up alone, just in case. - Sure. (DOORBELL RINGS) - Yeah? - I work for Jace Gray. You might have heard he died last night. - Oh yeah. Heart attack, right? - Yeah. Are you Penny? - Penny is my sister, and she's been dead for 16 years. Cancer. - I'm so sorry to hear that. Jace said they had a child together. He wanted to reach out. - Really? - Yeah. - Well, he had a chance to do the right thing, and he didn't. - I don't understand. - Several months before Penny passed away, she wrote him a letter, asking him for money to pay the rent on the apartment, to keep the heat on, for diapers. - Did he not answer? - Oh yeah, he answered, all right. Through his lawyers. And they said he denied the kid was even his. Penny was sick already, so she just let it go. (SOLEMN MUSIC) - Where is the boy now? - I had three kids of my own, and I did what I thought was best. - So, what's the story? - Penny's dead. Billy's been in foster care since he was two. - Foster care? - Yeah. - No one told me. - Because you had already made it perfectly clear through your attorney that you wanted nothing to do with the child. - No. I would never do that. - So then how did it happen? - We had this... We had this manager back then. His name was Rodney something, and he was this total taskmaster. He took care of literally everything for us. Maybe... he decided to deal with it and not tell me. (SOMBRE MUSIC) (EXHALES HEAVILY) - Penny's sister said that Billy was placed in a foster family named Griseo. He might have been through 10 homes since then, but we can check it out. - Thank you. I just... I need to make sure that he's OK. - Yeah. - This is Bruno Legato, fifth husband of Esther Legato, otherwise known as Madame Coco. Released from the state pen just six weeks ago. Shot a guy at a bar fight in 2016. - Six weeks. That's plenty of time to notice a new card reader at this wife's shop. - And the big sparkling ring on her finger. (DRAMATIC MUSIC) I circulated Legato's description among my CIs. Word is he's been pedalling drugs in this park since his release. And what do you know? There he is. (MUSIC CONTINUES) - Bruno Legato. Hey! (FAST-PACED MUSIC) - What's this, Bruno? - You got me, man. I've never seen it before in my life. This is a frame job. Hang on. You guys aren't vice. What's this about? - Bruno Legato, you're under arrest for the murder of Holly Anderson. - Bruno Legato, you're under arrest for the murder of Holly Anderson. Come on, Bruno. We got you on video pawning Holly's ring. Did she catch you trying to steal it? Huh? Threaten to call the cops? You didn't want to go back to the pen, so you killed her. - Then you threw her into the Duwamish, hoping she'd get carried out to Elliot Bay. - That's not what happened. She came to me after Esther turned her down for a loan. She needed 10 grand, and she was desperate. I gave her five, and I took the ring as collateral. - Then what? - And then nothing. When she stopped returning my calls, I figured fair is fair. I pawn the ring. - We talked to Holly's sister. She said that ring has sentimental value and she never would have sold it. - When Holly needed money, she went to her family. - Holly said that this time that wouldn't fly. - Why not? - I didn't ask. - Why not? - Because I didn't care. - You know what? We're done here, Bruno. - Hang on! Where are you going? - Tomorrow you'll be arraigned, Bruno. Possession with intent to sell and resisting arrest. - Then we build a case for murder. You're going back to prison, Bruno. - Maybe you can get a lady rat on the other side of your neck. It might make a lovely couple. Where are we on Bruno Legato? - Well, Forensics found his prints at Holly's, but he already admitted they were friends, and it's hard to check an alibi when we don't know exactly when she was killed. But we might have something. - The dates on her calendar. The heart stickers. On the days with hearts, Holly's metro card was swiped at her local station. 90 minutes later, she'd swipe it again at Avalon Station, headed home. - Different times, different days, but always that 90-minute time frame. - Sounds more like an appointment than a date. - Avalon is a business district. Let's compile a list of companies and stores within a mile radius of the station. Maybe there's something related to one Holly's many licences and certifications. - If you email me the document, I'll go over it tonight. - Will do. (CELL PHONE CHIMES) - Harbour patrol have just found the rest of Holly's body. (LIGHT MUSIC PLAYS, PEOPLE CHATTER) - That's him. He looks like me, right? Can` Can you talk to him? Can you...? Can you find out something about him? About his life? - Morning. What can I get for you? - I'll have a breakfast sandwich and a black coffee. - Got it. - Thanks. Hey, has anyone ever told you you look like Jace Gray? - (CHUCKLES SOFTLY) I've heard that before. I don't really see it. - I guess he's just on my mind cos he passed away the other night. - Did he? I was never into the Seattle grunge scene. Maybe I'm too young. - Here's the thing. Uh... - OK, kiddo. Moment of reckoning. - Sorry. I'll just be a moment. - No worries. What's going on? - What's going on is this young man's about to find out if he's accepted to Yale. - It's kind of a lifelong dream. Emails go out at 11. (SOFT, SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC) I'm in. - (SCOFFS) - I'm in! Yeah, I'm in! - (LAUGHS) - I'm in! - (BOTH LAUGH) - I'm in! - So proud of you! - Oh. Sorry. I haven't forgot about you. You ordered a breakfast sandwich. It's coming up. (SOFT MUSIC) - AMY: Cause of death was blunt-force trauma. I correlated tissue decomposition with local water currents. She was killed and dumped last Thursday between 8 and 11 PM. - ASANTE: Any idea where? - Well, she was dropped from at least 100 feet. Her back was broken on impact. - The West Seattle Bridge. It crosses the Duwamish Waterway. - I ran a chem test. No drugs or alcohol in her system, but her oestrogen and progesterone levels were off the charts. If I had to guess, I'd say your victim was newly pregnant. (DRAMATIC MUSIC) - There are five OB-GYNs within a mile of Avalon Station, but they all deny Holly was a patient. - They could be relying on doctor-patient privilege. - I told them she was dead and that their information could help solve her murder. I think they were being straight with me when they said they didn't know her. - And I got Bruno Legato's alibi for the time of Holly's murder. He claims he was at The Stone Rose tattoo parlour from 8 until close, 2 AM. - OK. Thanks. I just spoke with the owner of the Stone Rose tattoo parlour. He confirms Bruno's alibi, but that's not the headline. He said Bruno was there alone Thursday, but usually he goes in with his girlfriend. - Don't tell me. - Describes Holly to a T. - So Holly and Bruno meet at Esther's shop. They hit it off, start an affair. - It's all fun and games until Holly gets pregnant. And if Esther got wise to what they were doing... - Wouldn't be the first time she'd turned violent in a domestic conflict. - I went to a Reiki class, and then I went out for drinks with some of the girls. - We're gonna need their names. - (SCOFFS) What is this about? I told you everything I know about Holly. - You failed to mention she was sleeping with your husband. - What? - Been going on a few weeks. - Yeah, must've been pretty upset when you saw marriage number five going down the drain. Did you confront Holly? Maybe it got a little heated. - Look, if I'd known he was cheating, I would have gone after him, not her. - And what if she was pregnant? - Are you kidding? Bruno had a vasectomy three years ago. (TENSE MUSIC) - JACE: Hey. - Hey. - Sorry to barge in. - No, that's OK. Honestly, I wasn't sure if I'd see you again. I mean, Billy's OK. He's fine. - Yeah. He's a good kid, right? - Yeah. - And I'm... I lied to you. (SOLEMN MUSIC) I did get Penny's letter. I was the one who told the lawyer to make it all go away. - Why would you lie to me? - I figured if you knew the truth, you wouldn't want to help me. I was young and stoned. No. I was... scared. I didn't want to be responsible, not to Penny, not to a baby, not to anyone. After I sobered up, I wanted to reach out to Billy and tell him I was sorry, and I kept putting it off and putting it off and putting it off, and then... my heart exploded in my chest, and I thought my chance was gone. - (CHUCKLES SOFTLY) I can't believe you wrote about people so beautifully when you're so self-centred. - (CHUCKLES) I was a drug addict rock star, honey. There is no creature on this earth more selfish or out of touch. But then I met you. You can help me tell my son how sorry I am. - No, I can't. That is not my place. If Billy wanted to know who his father was, he would have come looking. He would have found you. This is not your choice to make anymore. - He should know his dad. - You're not his dad! The man who raised him is his dad! You had 18 years to be a dad to Billy. You blew it. Now I'm gonna try and get a few hours sleep because tomorrow, the man who raised me, who isn't my blood, but he is my dad, he finds out if he has cancer. I'm sorry. It's just... (TENSE MUSIC) (DRAMATIC MUSIC) (MUSIC RISES) (GASPS) - ASANTE: With Bruno out, we need to look at this from a different angle. If Holly was pregnant and she didn't tell her sister, we gotta figure there was a good reason. - Like the father was someone close to home, perhaps. - Sleeping with her sister's husband. That's pretty cold. - HOLLY'S SISTER: Pregnant? That doesn't make any sense. - Who's the father? - We're not sure. You told us yesterday she wasn't seeing anyone and that she was concentrating on her work. - Well, that's what she told me. But, I mean, she also told me that she never wanted children, so... - Holly changed her mind like the wind changed direction. - But previously when Holly found a new passion, she came to you for the money to fund it. But this time she traded your grandmother's ring for $5000. - Mrs Hall, do you know why Holly felt she couldn't ask you for the cash? - Luke and I have been trying to have a baby for six years. It's eaten our savings. It's been really hard on the marriage. Everything is wrong with us ` my eggs, his motility. It's just been a perfect storm. We asked Holly for help once, but... she said no. She was too busy to take nine months off. She must have been afraid that I'd be resentful after all that to tell me that she's... pregnant... so easily. - Please. I think we've told you everything we know. - Thank you for your time. - Actually, before you leave, could you tell us your whereabouts, please, for last Thursday? - Why? Is that when it happened? - That's what we think, yes. Between 8 and 11 PM. - I was at a friend's house. Weekly poker game till around 11. - Mrs Hall? - I went out for a walk after dinner. I was home some time after 10.30. - Is that your normal routine ` long walks at night? - Helps clear my head. - Mind if we GPS your phones? Just to verify that. - Yeah. Yeah, of course. - Whatever you need. - Thank you. Please. I've got an appointment in the morning. I may be a little late. - Your husband? - Yeah. Yeah, it's all the... It's all good news so far, actually. It's not this. It's not that. Only a few options left. We'll see. - Well, do what you need to do. I've got this. (SOFT MUSIC) - I appreciate that. - (EXHALES HEAVILY) What's taking so long? - I don't know. - (SIGHS) (DOOR OPENS) - BRIAN: Thank you. All right, first things first. I do not have cancer. - Oh, thank God. - But I'm not totally in the clear. - DOCTOR: Brian has what's called a meningioma. It's a slow-growing, benign tumour on his brain. We'll start him on a regiment of oral steroids. (VOICE FADES) That should reduce the symptoms he's been having. The tumour is located on Brian's frontal lobe, which is good. It'll make it easier for us to operate. - Surgery's the only option? - I'm afraid so. - We'll be fine. - Mm. (SOMBRE MUSIC) - All right, so, the GPS records for Taylor and Luke Hall's phones check out. - Yeah, Taylor wandered all over town, got home around 10. Luke's phone was at his poker game. After that, it was at home as well. His buddies confirm he didn't leave until the game broke up at 10.30. - Anything off the list of businesses I sent you? - I looked over it last night, but nothing jumped out at me. - (CELL PHONE VIBRATES) - OK. - Hello? - Hey. Just letting you know it was good news, mostly. - I'm glad to hear it. - Thanks. Can you swing by Cassie's with that tarot book? We're doing a little reading of our own. - Yeah, I can do that. - So, these are the cards that Holly drew at her last reading. - Well, the 10 of Swords and The Empress, I know I have seen these two. And what I saw last night, it... It must have been based on this one. - The Seven of Pentacles. According to this, the Seven of Pentacles pretty much always represents a good harvest. - I get that the 10 of Swords means death and betrayal because he's been stabbed in the back, but on the flipside, what does this sunrise mean? - It implies that after bad times, things will get better. A new beginning. - You find something? - The list of businesses near Avalon Station. Last night I thought I saw it. Here it is. New Beginnings. It's a fertility clinic. - This is such terrible news about Holly. She was a lovely young woman. - Absolutely. Our medical examiner detected elevated levels of oestrogen and progesterone. We assumed she was pregnant. - No. She was harvesting her eggs. During the process, we use gonadotropins to increase the number of eggs released by the body. That medication stimulates the same hormones that are elevated by pregnancy. But we never had a chance to complete the procedure. Holly was outstanding on her bill. - By how much? - She had given us a deposit of 5000, and she needed five more. But she was sure she could get it. - Did she say where from? - No. She just asked to use our phone, made a quick call, and then she left. - What day was this? - Last Thursday. - Did Holly tell you why she was harvesting her eggs? - She said it was a gift. For her sister. (DRAMATIC MUSIC) (DRAMATIC MUSIC) - Thanks for coming down again. - You said on the phone you have news. - That's right. - Actually... If we can go this way, please. - Have a seat here. - Um, wh... why isn't Luke with us? - Oh, don't worry about your husband. My partner will take good care of him. We have more information about Holly. When we told you that she was pregnant, we were misinformed. Holly was harvesting her eggs. - Why? - For you and Luke. She wanted to help you have a baby. - That's right. Those eggs were for you. - I can't believe she didn't tell us. - She wanted it to be a surprise. But then she called your home phone from the clinic. We've confirmed the call lasted 30 seconds, not long enough for a conversation. She left a message, didn't she? Said she needed the money but didn't say for what. - That was a bit like her, though, wasn't it? She was a bit of a drama queen. (CHUCKLES) Liked to be the centre of attention. And she was always off on a great adventure, leaving you guys to foot the bills. - She had made a big decision, she said. She promised that I would be happy. Oh, she said that every time. Um, she was on her way home, and... she wanted me to call her back. - But you were too upset to talk. Why does Holly always get to chase her dreams when your dreams are on hold? So you went for a walk, right? Tried to cool down. (TENSE MUSIC) - Taylor loved Holly. - Yeah, but she was frustrated with her, though, right? Taylor had dreams too. And you. A baby. The one thing you guys wanted more than anything in the world. She wasn't there for you. - She was just... so selfish. And then when I got home, she was waiting there for me. She just wanted that money so badly, and she had that... big smile and... - What did you do, Taylor? (MUSIC CONTINUES) - Luke, when you got back to your place that night after the poker game, what happened? - I slapped her. - You slapped her? - I slapped her. Hard. - Did she fall? - She just... She just fell on the table. I was sorry right away. I was sorry. I tried to wake her up. I tried. I tried to wake her up. - And there was so much blood. So much blood. - Can you write down... how you did it, please? Staging the break-in. Throwing Holly's body off the bridge. If you cooperate with us now, we will do everything we can for you with the DA. - I was just trying to protect Taylor. I couldn't let her go to jail, right? - I know. (SOLEMN MUSIC) (MUSIC CONTINUES) (MUSIC FADES) - You know, there was a time that I would take this feeling and put it into a song. You know, when you're dead, you can't eat, you can't smell, you can't sing loud enough to be heard. But you can still feel so sad. It just doesn't seem right. - My mom loved you. We played Climbing at her funeral. - She sounds like she was a pretty cool mother. - (BOTH CHUCKLE) - She was. But she was also troubled. Just bad decisions. Bad boyfriends. We moved around a lot when I was young, but we never seemed to be going anywhere. We just kept running from the last place we'd been. One night when I was 10, I can't remember where we were living or what crappy boyfriend she was leaving, but... she got me out of bed in the middle of the night and rushed me into the car. Everything we owned was stuffed in the back, and she was crying. And I mean... really... crying. My mom looked over, and... maybe she saw how scared I was, but... she put on a Chosen Time CD. And you were singing. And then she and I were singing along, just loudly, you know? And we let your music carry us down the road. And suddenly, I wasn't scared anymore. And neither was she. You weren't there for your son, Jace. But you were there for my mom when she needed you. You were there for me. (SOFT MUSIC) (INDIE ROCK MUSIC) - # What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. # That's just what they'll say. # But she's been feeling down, down, down, down, down. # But oh... - (ALL SING ALONG) # She's coming back up, # though her lovers let her down. # Coming back up. # Now her demons she can drown. # Drown them now. Drown them now. # Now her demons she can drown. # Drown them now. Drown them now. # Captions by Able. Captions were made with support from NZ On Air.
