Thanks to the Metro Police and the ViCAP Task Force, we got the guy. And they were not random victims of a serial killer. We both know he was hired by someone, but the only thing connecting him to the murders is you. We need your testimony, Rebecca. Those women need your testimony. No. I can't. If you're scared, we can put you into protective custo... Put them in custody. Whoever hired him. You take your deal up your ass. I don't need your deal. He is not scared of us. This is Wellig's lawyer. I want to see him. Now. CLARICE: Tell us who it was. Who told you to do something like this? Who told you to desecrate their bodies? TAB POPS, LIQUID FIZZING Who hired you? It's... Wellig? HE CHOKES KRENDLER: The lab found something on the can. Methyl iodide. Wellig was murdered in our own home. This is going to get very ugly. But you were right to stay on this conspiracy track. Let's see where it goes. PANTING ECHOES CHARGING-UP WHINE, FLASH POPS CHARGING-UP WHINE, FLASH POPS HERMAN: Let me get this straight. ViCAP brings a material witness in a serial murder to Buzzard's Point. Paul Krendler then lets a fake police officer transfer a soda can laced with an unknown substance into the interrogation room, causing the witness to stroke and die. WET SAWING BLOOD DRIBBLES The Special Agent in Charge has appointed me to sort out what or who enabled this colossal blunder. I'd imagine that the Office of Professional Responsibility's lack of involvement means that the Bureau recognises that Karl Wellig's death was... CLANKING BONES CRUNCH WET CRUNCHING ..unforeseen. No-one's looking to throw blame around. I just, uh, well, have a few questions. How does this happen?! How does a suspect get murdered in an FBI field office?! You gave him the soda. The only link in the chain of custody on that soda can is you. A cop brought it up with lunch or someone dressed as a cop. Mm. Look, he was a pro...a hit man. And you were chasing the lawyer, not the hit man. Why was that, exactly? We hadn't yet identified the cop as a suspect. I thought this ViCAP team was anointed. You catch killers. I thought that was your whole thing. Tony, don't be a dick. You and Krendler came up together. Why are you making such a meal of it? Murray, what is the first rule, the rule they taught us the first day of Quantico? "Don't embarrass the Bureau." How well do you know Paul Krendler? I'm told you two have some...history? We met during the Buffalo Bill investigation. When Ruth Martin was still a senator. He was working in her office at the time, assigned specifically to her. I heard that, uh, on a search of Catherine Martin's apartment, you found something Krendler missed, right in front of Ruth Martin. And you got to Buffalo Bill first, too, didn't you? Well, we got him, sir. That's what matters. I'm not sure that's the way Krendler sees it. I think that's why he holds you back. And...the way I see it, you shouldn't be held back. CLARKE: Look at that petty little bureaucrat. Tony's so predictable. He's trying to trip her up. You going to eat that? I don't appreciate his boys going through my stuff. Just let it play out. Have a doughnut, Murray. This is a witch hunt. Herman's had it out for ViCAP ever since we were announced. TRIPATHI: So has the whole Bureau, in a way. Nobody likes that the AG can just swoop in and form a new team. And cherry-pick it with "skirts" and "beaners". Herman's white-boy mafia. It's no secret. Herman's Bureau. We're all Bureau. Same team. CLARKE: No. Herman is on Team Douche. Five minutes into the investigation, he's already moved in to your office. I'm not on Team Douche. You're on Team Poetry. Wellig died in our home, on our watch. We've earned the heat. We can take it. You stop making yourself nuts. You did everything by the book. Top of yesterday's interrogation, Krendler seems hellbent on getting Wellig to confess to being a deranged serial killer. Why was that? There were multiple victims killed in a ritualistic manner. But you never bought into that theory. Wellig's background doesn't suggest it at all, and a simple BSU analysis would have revealed that. Were you consulted? Yes. Then why was the serial-killer angle pursued and not the conspiracy angle? I wonder if you don't feel sometimes that politics is the only reason you're here. I want you to know that the Bureau is proud that you're here. We're not going to let you go down in flames with Krendler. We'll protect you. Respectfully, sir, I didn't ask for your protection. You know, there's a version of this where you come work with me in Violent Crimes. You work cases the way you like, the right way, without... well, without being a show pony. PANTING ECHOES I protect what's valuable, Starling. But if I'm going to protect you, you've got to talk to me. Is there anything in Krendler's conduct yesterday or any time you've been working with him that would help me in this investigation? FAN BLADES CREAK, CLICKING EDDIE: We haven't really found anything yet, other than Clarke's gigantic stack of sad pornography. Leave that be. Should they be talking? Learn to walk softly, Eddie. Where's Ardelia Mapp? Heading up, but... I need her specifically to walk through my door. Make sure Starling sees. Well, he wasn't very interested in how Karl Wellig got killed. Are you going to ask a question? ESQUIVEL: I'm a mutt, OK? Cuban, Brazilian, and Italian. Two shrugs and a eyebrow is an entire conversation. He wants to throw you under the bus. Son of a bitch. What happened to Wellig happened on my watch. This is supposed to be on me. Cooperate, all of you. You're all confined to desk duty. He'll call you in for additional questions later. Until then, cover the complaint lines. Complaint lines? Son of a bitch! SHE SIGHS DOOR OPENS MAPP: Sir, you asked to see me? Agent Mapp, have a seat. Hey, I'm investigating ViCAP. Herman ordered me to find out who authorised the hit man's entry into the building. Does he know we're roommates? He knew. I told him it had to be by the book or to count me out. Oh, thanks. It's not for you. It's for me. Yeah, I know. I'm sorry. It's just... We've never been here before. This is the first time Herman's even said my name since I got put on cold cases instead of field work in his division. It's such crap. We came in at the same time. I have to see this through. Look, Herman did say that if... MAN: Ladies. ..I "decide" there's anything he needs to know about Krendler, that he'd want me to work cases in his division. Just like that, huh? But I don't think I should trust him unless you think I should. You can't talk to me about Krendler while he's under an investi... You're speaking to me like a roommate about a case I'm investigating. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I shouldn't... That compromises me. I would never have compromised you. # There's power in the blood # In the precious blood of the Lamb. # SIRENS WAIL TELEPHONE RINGS, RECEIVER CLICKS HE SIGHS FBI. Can I help you? WOMAN: My neighbour has been acting very suspicious lately. Ma'am, can you slow down? MAN: I'm telling you, man, it was in the news last month. Yeah. You're not listening. I saw something in the sky, looked like a spaceship. It might be aliens! DOOR OPENS Just sitting there. Is he in the mob? Hi. Gentlemen, thank you for waiting. Agent. PHONES RING INDISTINCT CONVERSATIONS DRAWER SLAMS SHUT TRIPATHI: Taking your personal car? Where we sneakin' off to? Whoever killed Wellig, they're professionals. The only way ViCAP makes it out of this intact is if we find them and solve the river murders. I gave him whatever killed him, all right? This is on me. This is not about you. It's about three dead women. I can't live with any of it, OK? And I'm not going to sit there and answer the complaint line while the whole team falls apart. Yes, which is why Clarke's going to do it and cover for us. I understand that one of you is a sociopath whisperer and one of you's a sharpshooter, but you might want someone with ten years in the Bureau to ride shotgun. We can divide and conquer. We found the uniform that the fake cop ditched. I can run that down. OK. And I'll ride with Starling. But... What? He's, uh, really giving himself a lot of grief. Yeah. It makes sense. When a sniper'd grieve, they'd grieve harder than most. Are you sure you wouldn't be more comfortable maybe... No, I love this rattling death-trap. Where to? Baltimore Herald. Rebecca Clark-Sherman's boss. Her research almost got her killed. Now, on a scale of one to ten, what do you think the chances are of us making it? I mean, alive. KNOCK AT DOOR Agent Haynes? Security, right? Mm-hm. Would you please walk me through yesterday's security logs and CCTV footage surrounding Karl Welling's interview? Is this about the ViCAP thing? Need to know only. OK. CLARICE: Have you heard from Rebecca, Mr Tyree? She called me this morning. How is she? Still pretty shaken, but hanging in. Did she say where she was? She said some place safe. That's all I got. She sounded scared. It'll be easier to protect her if we know who's coming after her. Sir, I'd like your permission to look through her office. I can't let you in there without a warrant. Sir, I'm after the truth, like she is. I appreciate that. I do. But not as much as I appreciate the First Amendment. Will you let me know if she contacts you again? SHE SIGHS TRIPATHI: I just want to make sure Rebecca's safe and we're following any leads that we can. WOMAN: Those women they found in the river, from the news? Ma'am, ma'am, ma'am, we are federal law enforcement. For us to get involved, your boyfriend would have to take your stolen panties across state lines. WOMAN: It ain't right. I mean, he's crazy. No, I... I-I agree. He's... He's a pervert, but I... Please hold. What?! Where are they? Somewhere near Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It's a situation. No. Your team. Oh. I don't know. Bathroom, maybe? I mean, who the hell knows what Esquivel and Tripathi eat for lunch every day? And it's not my turn to track Starling's cycle. Do you know how much hell they're in if they're gone? Oh, you mean how much hell you're in. That's... That's not... Eddie, I got some control-top panties. They're making their way up to Canada. It really needs my full attention. DRAWER SLIDES OPEN TRIPATHI: What did Mr Tyree have to say? CLARICE: Not much, like you said. Trash bin. Copy lady showed me. People always leave stuff in copiers. Rebecca was looking for a Dr Marilyn Felker, who was the Lead Physician of the Lockyer Labs clinical trials the whistle-blowers were in. We should go see her, find out what they told Rebecca Clark-Sherman. Hey, how was your meeting with Herman? What did he say to you? SEAT-BELT CLICKS He has real problems with the way Krendler conducted our investigation. So, what did he offer you to help prove that Krendler mishandled it? You're not asking me what he offered. You're asking if I accepted. Three women were murdered. That I do not accept. I will never accept. Yeah, neither will I. Neither will Krendler. You should trust that. All due respect, ever since I got here, I've heard a lot about what I should trust. Krendler was wrong. Whether he really believed Wellig was a serial killer or because he was being a soldier for the AG... Whoa, slow down. The... ..or whether he's still sore from me showing him up on Buffalo Bill, the chances of this being a conspiracy were real, and no-one said a thing but me. And do not tell me to slow down. You catch up. I'm sorry. It's OK. It's complicated. SHE SCOFFS QUIETLY I hear that one a lot, too. CANDY RATTLES INDISTINCT CONVERSATIONS KRENDLER: How do you like my office? It's stale in here. Remember back in Organised Crime, Tony, when we got Jerry the Jeweller? The names on those guys. We took him out for Mai Tais and procured him oral sex from a prostitute. Jerry was about to go up for 25. I did him a solid. What did you do? It's not how the Bureau does business. It bought us goodwill with Jerry's guys. That got us a great CI who gave us information that led you to three RICO collars and a promotion. Hmm. I got suspended without pay. Oh, you've always been OK letting other people do your dirty work. There shouldn't be any dirty work. Maintaining the integrity of the Bureau is my job. OK. If you need to get me canned, fine. Three women are dead, Tony. They were murdered by a professional hit man. When Starling first floated this insane idea, I didn't believe it. But since then, he was poisoned by other professional hit men. In front of my agents. Mm. Now, however this goes down, Ruth Martin's going to need someone's head. What are we doing here? Let's bring these guys down, Tony. Wellig died on your watch, and you're worried about an unsubstantiated conspiracy? Your priorities were always ass backwards. You know the sad part? You've got good agents on your squad. Let's hope she doesn't sacrifice a real agent to save you. No. The sad part is you've been behind a desk so long, I don't think you have any idea what a good agent is any more. To be clear, Paul, I'm taking you down for this. I think we're done here. TRIPATHI: Hello. I'm looking for employment records for a doctor located in Washington DC... Felker. Good afternoon. This is Agent Starling with the FBI. I'm calling for a Dr Marilyn Felker. F-E-L-K-E-R. HE CLICKS TONGUE Inspector Gadget's coming. Sure, I can hold. Where's Esquivel? Oh, no, no, I'm still here. So, uh, James Hoffa is in your crawl space? Now, does he have a pulse? He... He has the Lindbergh baby? That's great news. Hi. TRIPATHI: Search everything 1985 onwards. American Medical Association, Dr Marilyn Felker. Yes, a phone number would be great. That's Felker, F-E-L-K-E-R. First name, Marilyn. Security-camera footage from the dry cleaner where the Baltimore cops go. That uniform was not stolen from the station. OK. Thank you. We should get hazard pay for going in any facility that handles BPD dirty laundry. Hello. Yes, I'm looking for Marilyn Felker. You're listed as one of her former employers. August 1988? Wait. Are you sure that list is current? SHE SNAPS FINGERS Uh-huh. Found the name of the doctor that was running the bad clinical trial. So, you're certain that Dr Marilyn Felker's medical licence was revoked? Five years ago? OK. OK. Thank you. RECEIVER CLICKS What? "Failure to meet the standard of care." You've go to really screw up to get your licence revoked. My uncle had stomach problems cos his surgeon dropped a cigarette lighter in his abdomen. The doctor's still working. And how was Felker able to practise medicine without a licence? Well, doctors are licensed state-by-state. I guess your more dicier hospitals don't always do background checks. PHONE RINGS, RECEIVER CLICKS Agent Starling. WOMAN: Hi. I got a message saying that you're looking for Marilyn Felker? Mm-hm. I, um... I'm her sister, Luanne Felker. Is... Is Marilyn OK? HAYNES: I heard Herman's tough. You must have made an impression to be chosen for this investigation. You could say that. Five cops were logged in when BPD arrived with Wellig yesterday. Our guy here definitely isn't one of them. Was there a big group that came in around the same time? Mm. VIDEO FAST-FORWARDS Whoa, whoa. What is that? Retirement party, Dewey from Counterintelligence. That's our sketchy lawyer with the moustache. And, let me see... right next to him in a suit... Boom! That's our cop. He must have his uniform in that bag. You're on fire, Mapp. HE CHUCKLES 11.43am. To be in the building, he had to sign in somehow? Used a government-issued ID. No-one gets in or out without ID. Dewey was popular. We can break it down, sort by age, gender, height. An ID that didn't match the visitor would have raised flags, right? What? What's wrong? Someone went into the system. Someone with supervisor clearances. Just now? Who? Paul Krendler. What? He's changing the logs? He's claiming the authorisation. He's bringing it down on himself. Who logged them in before? I don't know. It's gone. He just saved someone's ass. He just tampered with evidence. CLARICE: It's a care facility for people in comas. This place is the stuff of my nightmares. Persistent vegetative state. "Persistent." Some of these people have been in here for years. Like Terri Schiavo. For real, Starling, just smother me with a pillow after two weeks. WOMAN: Woodhaven Care Center. I'm sorry. She's unavailable. LUANNE: Agent Starling? Yes. Sorry, lean staff. I had to wait for the other nurse to get back from break. Uh, we wanted to talk to you about your sister. Marilyn and I haven't spoken in a few years now. You both work in medicine? I'm not sure Marilyn would agree. Well, to her, nursing is mundane. She always believed in pushing boundaries, and I take care of patients who are, well, in comas. Well, sounds like you have different perspectives. You're a caretaker, where she sees herself as more of a...pioneer. Does that sound about right? Not far off. We may be twins, but Marilyn was always... more, if that makes sense. Do you have any idea where she might be? Last I heard, she was running a trial in Ghana. We're still looking for her. What did she do? Well, at this time, she isn't being accused of anything. We'd just like to find her so we can ask her some questions. Well, I'm the last person she'd ever confide in, so... Why is that? I've never understood. But if you do, can you please let me know, OK? Find her. Of course. INDISTINCT CONVERSATION TELEPHONE RINGS IN DISTANCE KNOCK AT DOOR Got 'em? Dan Willis and Mike Diaz. The lawyer and the fake cop. Mm. I always get 'em. Uh... Mm. Uh... Oh. Uh, I wanted to ask you, Friday night if you're free... Ohh. I have to stop you there. I'm not here to socialise. Let's not mix business with...nonsense. I'm sorry. It's just how I like to, you know... how I... No, no, no, no, no. It's, uh... I'm just trying to say this without embarrassing you. Have you heard about the Black Coalition? Oh. Yes, I have. Mm. The answer's still no. Thank you. I respect deeply what the Coalition is doing, but it's not for me. You aren't interested in your future? You'd have to fight for it, you know? No-one can do it alone. I want to get to a place where I'm not fighting the system, I'm building a new one. Can you? From inside? "The master's tools..." "Will never dismantle the master's house." Audre Lorde, 1984. I only make informed decisions, Agent. Cold Cases where you want to be? I'll make more opportunities in the field. I'll make them. How many times have you requested a transfer? I've been working Security seven years. I have a Master's in Biology. Every year I put in for a transfer to any place for a different detail. The Bureau picks who they want to shine a light on, and it's not people who look like us. I need to get back to work. Your friend Clarice, Bureau decided to shine a light on her, and overnight she's a star. Maybe you missed that, being inside and all. Luanne constructed her life scheme entirely relative to her sister. Marilyn might've done the same. That's a thing with twins. Yeah, well, that dynamic... "whoever I am, I'm sure not you"...never ends well. Couple that with a similar life calling, and it's a recipe for a Greek tragedy. Are we profiling Felker? You don't want to know what drives her? Yeah. Yeah, I do. You should get what drives Krendler. He's a protector. He needs to protect his team. Yeah, well, he's never wanted me on his team. Look, you were a trainee when they put you on Buffalo Bill. I get that can make a person feel valued. But they didn't do you a favour when they threw you to the cannibal and then patted you on the back when you made it back alive. Krendler never would've done that to you. In fact, he hated that they did that to you. FAX MACHINE WHIRS BEEPING He looks so regular. This guy, our phoney cop swiped the uniform from the dry cleaner's, and then he went ahead and used the ATM. CLARKE: We got a Social and a name. Mike Diaz died in '76, of course, but still managed to open a bank account last week. Phoney address with a phoney driver's licence to match. Proof that he was a pro. I love when you detect, Murray. Yeah, you should try it sometime. Tracking these pros down is always a pain in the ass. INDISTINCT CONVERSATIONS Starling. Sir. Got a call from your therapist. Ah. I'm sorry, sir. I wanted to be the one to tell you. Therapy is a condition of you being a part of ViCAP. Yes, sir. I have a list of approved therapists, and I will pick one. Seems fair. Thank you, sir. SHE SIGHS Sir, I was wondering... ..why is Agent Herman conducting these interviews? He has his own squad. The two of you are the same rank. The Bureau, Starling. The hierarchy of the Bureau is as Byzantine as you can imagine. And there are a lot of initials. Herman's there because our boss wanted him there. Sir... We were at Quantico together. Herman and I. I got a lot of opportunities that he didn't. So, now he's trying to destroy ViCAP. Well, that or make us ineffectual. Take our best agents for his squad. I'm sure he offered you an out. People find a way to heal old wounds. Even if it's the wrong way, sir? You speaking about Herman... ..or me and you? I've been hard on you since you joined ViCAP. But not because you found Bill before we did... I did. But because when you found him, no-one knew where you were. You didn't call it in until after it was done. You had no backup, no experience, and barely any training. Sir, I wasn't just going to let her... You weren't going to let her. You could have died. Other agents could have died looking for you. The hardest part of this job is learning that it is not about you. HE SCOFFS LIGHTLY Maybe I am out. Maybe you'll help Herman get me out. Make your decision... but make it about the team. Take care of your own. SEAGULLS CRY FOOTSTEPS MAPP: You aren't bleeding cos I don't see blood. You better have a good reason for paging me 911. What's going on? Wellig's killer was using the alias "Mike Diaz." What are you doing? Stop! I can't give this to Krendler. I'm supposed to be on the phones. I told you, we can't talk about this. And I can't give it to Herman because he's just going to jam it up and use it to make Krendler look bad, and these women are still waiting for us to take care of them. You think I don't know that? We've been in the Diaz account. There is a payment from a shell company that belongs to Marilyn Felker. Marilyn. It's the doctor who oversaw the clinical trials that the whistle-blowers were in. We pulled an address for Felker... Stop. I already had Diaz and his partner. Did you have Felker? I don't have a whole team at my disposal. I've been working my butt off. And if anyone knew you tried to feed me these names, it would all go up in smoke. I don't need a leg up from you. I'm not trying to give you a leg... I've been telling you that you're messing with the one opportunity I've had, and you won't listen. You won't listen because opportunity's like nothing to you. This one goes, another one'll come. This morning my boss offered you what I've been fighting for since I graduated Quantico. All right, I get it. You don't. I am just trying to find out who killed these whistle-blowers, to find out how deep this goes. Do you think you're entitled to jeopardise the one opportunity I have because you're "just trying"? Because it means so much to you and not me? Your feelings don't outweigh my ability to perform as an agent. What matters here is the victims. You need to stop saying that like I'm not fighting for them, as well. I love you, but who do you think you're talking to? I don't want your investigation. I have my own. If you try to talk to me about this again, I'll be forced to add this to Herman's investigation of ViCAP. I have to go. POUNDING ON DOOR ESQUIVEL: Marilyn Felker! FBI! We have a warrant! Open the door! Clear! Clear! Clear! TRIPATHI: Doesn't look like she's home. MAPP: Mike Diaz and Dan Willis snuck in as attendees for a retirement party. That's how they got to Wellig, sir. We have names, financial documents, clear photos of the killers, and... Spit it out. Paul Krendler tampered with evidence, sir. He went into the system and changed the logs to say that he personally signed in all the Baltimore Police Officers and vetted them. Whether he's protecting himself or someone else, he stepped over the line. Thank you. Give all your notes and evidence to Eddie. He'll wrap it up. Sir, I put all this together. This is my case. You did a hard thing today, Agent Mapp. We're taking ViCAP down, and the Bureau won't forget it. Mm. HE DIALS NUMBER What do you think? This one's crooked. Everything else is ordered... ..perfect. It's the women Wellig killed and Rebecca Clark-Sherman. PAPER RUSTLES TRIPATHI: Guys, check this out! Methyl iodide. The chemical neurotoxin used to kill Wellig. Just like that, huh? Sometimes. CAMERA WHIRS SHUTTER CLICKS ECHO CELLPHONE RINGS CHARGING-UP WHINE, FLASH POPS Tripathi. SHUTTER CLICKS CLICKS ECHO That was Clarke. We got to head back. They're shutting down ViCAP. Krendler's out. The next season of your favourite series, the next costume drama... or catchin' up with the girls. The next 90 minutes... or the final over. The next instalment of Halo. The next drive of your life. Or maybe it's seeing your granddaughter. Wellig got killed on your watch, and you tampered with the logs. You think the rules don't apply to you. And by the looks of it, your team shares your sentiment. When I heard you quit drinking, I was glad. I never believed you were a man of character. And I never believed you loved the work. You're not a cop, Tony. You're a bureaucrat. And a prick. The only thing you ever wanted was a desk bigger than your last one, and now, seven years from retirement, this is your story. Tony Herman, the alpha dog of Violent Crime, who never leaves the building. What's happening? Krendler changed the logs. He took the hit for logging in the cops. But I logged it. It wasn't him. It was me. Hey, hey. He's going down alone. It's how you'll want it when it's you. CELLPHONE RINGS What? What? Right. CELLPHONE CLICKS SHUT According to the coroner, Wellig died of a stroke. Only trace amounts of methyl iodide. Not enough to kill him. Official? Official. HE SCOFFS What? So, we're cleared? But it wasn't a stroke. Who did this? Someone with a lot of juice. A hell of a lot of juice. Yeah. Hey. Hey. I thought Wellig was a little young for a stroke. We both know he was poisoned. Yeah. So how come the autopsy says natural causes? Means ViCAP's off the hook. So that's good... I guess. You're asking if it's me that changed the coroner's report? I'm asking if it was Santa. He futzed with the logs earlier to protect Esquivel. They were setting up Esquivel to take the fall. Hm. I've been Santa once or twice. You know that. Doctoring a visitor's log is one thing. Falsifying cause of death, even for the squad... I didn't have anything to do with that. Someone else got to the coroner. Someone with power. You know what scares the hell out of me, Murray? Is that it wasn't me. That I have no idea. That whoever changed that report also had the reach to walk through our door and kill a protected suspect with a can of soda. Someone wants us to stop looking at these murders, and we are in the dark. WOMAN: Can you continue to hold for Customs? Yes, I can still hold. Hey, Clarke and Esquivel went for a beer. You want to... This is me celebrating. Hey, um, can I run something by you? What led us to Marilyn's house was Mike Diaz. Now, we know he's a ghost, but his name is everywhere... the ATM transaction, security logs, even at Marilyn's house. And say she left town in a panic, which I don't buy... why leave incriminating evidence behind? She's meticulous. Everything's like the wounds on the River Murder Victims, deliberate, self-conscious. You ever heard of diminishing returns? See you in the morning. CUSTOMS OFFICIAL: Agent Starling? Yes, I'm still here. Dr Felker purchased a ticket to Buenos Aires three days ago, but she never boarded the flight. OK. Thank you. You're welcome. RECEIVER CLICKS KNOCK ON DOOR Hey. Hey. Um... Marilyn Felker purchased a flight to Buenos Aires that she never boarded. She could still be in the country, and I thought that... um, maybe, since ViCAP isn't under investigation any more, that... I heard. You think Herman was using me to get to you. I think he was using us to get to Krendler. I'm so sorry. He's not a good man. I aced all our exams at Quantico except for one. One. I got a 50 on PT. I was a star at Moot Court. Graduated second in our class. Do you think this is any different from what it was like at the Academy?
