1. The Dance and the Child International (DACI) conference recently held in Auckland recognises that every child regardless of age, race, creed or disability should be able to join into dance. Around the country there are dance classes where some of the tutors are only three or four years older than the children they teach. -- 2 A Vancouver children's theatre company, the Green Thumb Theatre, has been in New Zealand as part of a Pacific tour, producing plays and taking workshops that educationalists and actors thought were rather special.
3. Buying Contemporary Art, getting started as an artist and group collecting. The art collective 'The Future Group' just bought an avant guarde Billy Apple painting. Lawyer Warwick Brown is part of The Prospect Collection and the Forsyth Collection, both started to assist people to start collecting with a lower risk.
