  • 1New Zealand Glassworkers and SAGG, The Society of Artworkers in Glass. To coincide with the opening of Pacific Glass '83 at the Auckland Museum they held a week long teaching conference at Inglewood to help develop the art with German glassmaster Johannes Schreiter.

  • 3Calligraphy, which means 'beautiful writing', flourished in the middle ages but is waning with the spread of mechanised printing. Auckland graphic designer Dave Wood is a practicing calligrapher and his work is covers both the commercial and art.
