1New Zealand Glassworkers and SAGG, The Society of Artworkers in Glass. To coincide with the opening of Pacific Glass '83 at the Auckland Museum they held a week long teaching conference at Inglewood to help develop the art with German glassmaster Johannes Schreiter.

2Classical guitarist Julian Bream has just been playing concerts in New Zealand. He talks about his life in music and plays Bach and Villa Lobos.

3Calligraphy, which means 'beautiful writing', flourished in the middle ages but is waning with the spread of mechanised printing. Auckland graphic designer Dave Wood is a practicing calligrapher and his work is covers both the commercial and art.
