Film of Katherine Mansfield's story, 'The Dolls House', a tale of early twentieth century New Zealand (set in Day's Bay, Wellington),
demonstrating the class distinctions of the time and showing something of the way of life, styles of clothing, mannerisms etc. 'Alberton House', Auckland is used as one of the locations. The film, originally made in 1973, follows the written story closely, using the author's words as the narration.
